A method of forming a cap assembly comprises injection molding a cap in a first shot from a first polymeric material, wherein the cap has an opening at one end defined by a perimeter. Injection molding a tamper band in a second shot from a second polymeric material such that the tamper band is monolithically attached to the perimeter of the cap. The first polymeric material and the second polymeric material comprise dissimilar resins and the tamper band is configured to sever from the cap with no burrs remaining on the perimeter of the cap.

A catheter assembly comprises a collar assembly comprising a coupling portion proximate the second end and a first compression member configured to removably engage the coupling portion. The catheter assembly further comprises a wing assembly that includes a housing configured to at least partially receive a cannula. The wing assembly also comprises two or more wings extending radially from the housing and a second compression member configured to removably engage a coupling portion. A tube is configured to fluidly couple the collar assembly to the wing assembly, and wherein a portion of the tube is retained by the first and second compression members.

Catheter assembly

A medicine container and a method of forming the medicine container are described herein. The medicine container includes a bottle and a bottle cap removably connected to the bottle. A dose cup is disposed over the bottle cap, the dose cup having an opening defined by a perimeter. A tamper band is monolithically coupled to the perimeter of the dose cup. The tamper band is directly connected to the bottle by a destructively attached connection.

A dispenser assembly is provided that has a rigid plunger with a ring-shaped protrusion. The protrusion contacts the inner wall of a flexible barrel to form a liquid-tight seal. Advantageously, the dispenser assembly does not require additional components, such as o-rings, and can be fabricated by injection molding techniques.

Disclosed in this specification is a medicine container with a flexible flap covering the opening of the container. The opening is closed by the flexible flap when the flexible flap is in a resting position and the opening is opened when the flexible flap is in a flexed position. A hand-operated plunger is equipped with an end configured to mate with the opening such that a seal is established between the plunger and the opening. The plunger is shaped to apply a force to the flexible flap, thereby operating the flexible flap.
