Presented are apparatus, systems and methods for creating tuned color emissions, from lighting and displays, that can be electronically controlled to select a desirable spectrum of wavelengths safer for human vision, for optimal color reproduction, for energy/brightness efficiency, and more. Apparatus including light emitting chips, materials, package design, electronic control devices and circuits, lights, light-fixtures, display panels, visual computing devices and systems, are disclosed. An embodiment is described which is capable of operating in modes, where eye-safe colors are rendered with minimal harmful wavelengths, as well as at least one mode of operation favoring color rendering, and brightness configurations. An embodiment is operable to deliver a paper-like black-on-white viewing experience, in both night-time and day-time operating modes, with reduced high-energy blue-wavelength light spectra. In one embodiment, the light-emitter, controller, display and system are operable to switch between these modes of operation.

Method and apparatus of multi-modal illumination and display for improved color rendering, power efficiency, health and eye-safety

A method of accounting for electrical power contribution and consumption is presented. The method comprises receiving information, from a plurality of facilities, wherein the plurality of facilities is operable to generate and/or consume electricity, and wherein the data comprises information concerning electricity contributions to a power grid, and/or consumptions from the grid by the plurality of facilities. The method further comprises applying a robust system of cryptographic processes to said information concerning electricity contributions, and attest to the authenticity of the information, as well as to the correct attribution of the facility claimed. Finally, the method comprises tracking and accounting electricity contributions and/or consumptions from each of the plurality of facilities using decrypted and verified information in a manner that allows contributions to be independently verified through audits. The method can also comprise compensating each of the facilities based on the respective electricity contribution and/or consumption of each facility.

Method and apparatus to form a virtual power generation collective from a distributed network of local generation facilities

Embodiments include multi-function electronic payment card and device systems capable of generating a programmed magnetic field of alternating polarity based on a speed of a card swipe, and methods for constructing the device for the purpose of emulating a standard credit card. An apparatus is described to allow the device to emulate behavior of a credit card when used in electronic credit card readers. Additionally methods are described to allow user control of the device for the purpose of authorizing or controlling use of the device in the application of credit, debit and cash transactions, including cryptocurrency and card-to-card transactions. Methods are also described for generating a limited-duration credit card number when performing a transaction for the purpose of creating a limited-use credit card number, which is limited in scope of use to a predetermined number of authorized transactions. Furthermore the device may interact with other similar devices in proximity for the purpose of funds or credit/debit transfers.

Multi-function electronic payment card and device system

Presented herein are methods for creating nanoparticles, which exhibit desirable electro-luminescent and photo-luminescent capabilities, while retaining the robust inorganic nature. And incorporating the nanoparticles in micron and sub-micron scale structures, via a range of patterning techniques, to create highly functional meta-material apparatus. Example embodiments include applications in emissive color elements within displays, Micro-LED devices, and thin-film apparatus; integrating optical, photonic and plasmonic properties, from the combination of patternable nano-scale features, with photo/electro-luminescing material capabilities; performing multiple light processing functions, within the apparatus. The method of construction, materials, electrical drive, color and pixel manipulation as well as system integration are described, such that one of ordinary skill in the art could construct implementations including lighting, displays, panels and other applications.

A technique is disclosed for a graphics processing unit (GPU) to enter and exit a power saving deep sleep mode. The technique involves preserving processing state within local memory by configuring the local memory to operate in a self-refresh mode while the GPU is powered off for deep sleep. An interface circuit coupled to the local memory is configured to prevent spurious GPU signals from disrupting proper self-refresh of the local memory. Spurious GPU signals may result from GPU power down and GPU power up events associated with the GPU entering and exiting the deep sleep mode.

Smart tokenizing payment card and device and transaction processing thereof, system and method

A computer system comprising: a graphics processor, a display controller comprising a display-local frame buffer, a display device, and a memory. The memory stores instructions, that when executed by the computer system, perform a method of entering a power management state. The method comprises detecting that the computer system is idle and optional proximity detector for determining if a user is present in front of the system. With the computer system idle, and the user in proximity of the system, the display-local frame buffer is activated. Display information transmitted by the graphics processor is stored in the display-local frame buffer. Initially a power reduction state is initiated for the graphics subsystem including the graphics processor, and the display device is placed in a self-refresh state with the display self-refreshing from information stored in the local frame buffer.
