Embodiments allow a viewer of a display to see images. The images viewed by the glasses may be based on the orientation of the glasses, so that the images correspond to the user's viewpoint. Different images may be presented to left and right eyes for 3D stereoscopic viewing. The position and orientation of the glasses may be tracked by analyzing images from one or more cameras observing the glasses. Glasses may have distinct geometric shapes or features, such as circular lenses, rims, regions around the lenses, to facilitate tracking. One or more regions of the glasses may be illuminated by self-contained or reflected light, to facilitate tracking under various ambient lighting conditions. The lenses of the glasses may have selective barriers such as anaglyph filters, polarizing filters, and shutters, to select images from the display.

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing access to media content via a media channel based on associated content being provided over a different channel. In some aspects, it is determined that a media identifier corresponds to media content provided over a first media channel. In response to the determination, a notification facilitation system can identify multiple computing devices that have been configured to receive additional media content that is associated with the media content provided over the first media channel. The notification facilitation system can provide access to the additional media content via a second media channel by the identified computing devices in response to identifying the plurality of computing devices.

A master dynamic configuration directory can store connection strings and data adapters for data entities based on a routing identifier and a business entity identifier. The information can be stored in multiple data stores, each of which can have a different data type. A data request from a requesting entity comprises a routing identifier and a business entity identifier. A system application can receive a data request and can access the local instance of the dynamic configuration directory to determine the corresponding connection string and data adapter based on the routing identifier and business entity identifier in the data request. The system sub-application creates a data access instance based on the connection string and data adapter. The system application loads the data access instance to access the data entity at the appropriate location and to perform a data function according to the data request.

Pivotal rotation of the hydrofoil vanes can be restricted by flexible membranes, between the hydrofoil vanes and the support beams, to provide an optimum angle of attack for the hydrofoil vanes during a swimming stroke. The fins can have at least one pivoting vane region connected to the support beams with a flexible hinge member. The support beams can be fixedly or rotationally attached at one end to a foot pocket. Methods are provided for limiting the rotation of at least one of the pivoting vanes using flexible web members between vanes and the support beams. Methods for increasing lift and decreasing turbulence and drag on hydrofoils or vanes of the swim fins are also included.

High efficiency swim fin using multiple high aspect ratio hydrodynamic vanes with pliable hinges and rotation limiters

Apparatus, devices and methods of operating multiple high aspect ratio hydrodynamic horizontal ladder oriented vanes with pliable hinges and rotation limiting flexible webs attached between flexible support beams on swim fins. The fins can have a foot pocket. A pair of parallel support beams can be secured to the foot pocket and support a plurality of hydrofoil vanes in a resisted pivotal arrangement. Pivotal rotation of the vanes can be restricted by flexible membranes, between vanes and beams, to provide an optimum angle of attack for the during swimming. The fins can have at least one pivoting vane region connected to the fin with a flexible hinge member.

A watercraft paddle may include a shaft having first and second ends and at least one grip position therebetween for a user's hand. The paddle may further include a blade carried by the first end of the shaft, and at least one drip barrier positioned between the at least one grip position and the blade. The at least one drip barrier may include a base surrounding the shaft, and a concave sidewall portion extending vertically from the base toward the blade and curved laterally inward toward the shaft to define a water collection reservoir with the base for collecting water drippage from the blade along the shaft. The concave sidewall portion may have an arclength spanning greater than ninety degrees.

Disclosed is a method that provides for the calculation and prediction of hoop strength of an expanded pipe, preferably a PVC pipe or conduit. The method includes the steps of: (a) determining hoop strength as a function of relative wall thickness; (b) determining Wall Thickness Ratio (WTR) by dividing a nominal wall thickness of the original conduit by the minimum wall thickness of the expanded conduit; (c) determining long-term hydrostatic strength by at least one of hoop testing and burst testing; and (d) applying an accelerated regression analysis to the results in step (c), yielding a Hydrostatic Design Basis (HDB). The resulting HDB may be plotted against WTR to provide the user with graphical data for use in making design decisions and choosing specific conduit for specific applications.

Skateboard

When the front truck of a skateboard is offset laterally to the right from the rear truck, the rider can transfer his weight from the rear truck to the front truck when making a right turn and from the front truck to the rear truck when making a left turn. The truck whose weight is augmented turns through a larger angle than otherwise possible. At some point as the rider leans farther and farther into a right turn, the left rear wheel leaves the ground; the right front wheel leaves the ground when the rider leans strongly into a left turn. When either of these wheels leave the ground, the skateboard steers in a tricycle mode and is capable of extremely sharp turns. The board includes a front portion which is offset from the rear portion, and this offset encourages the rider to assume a more normal stance on the board.

An insulated enclosure for beverage containers comprises upper and lower cup shaped cylindrical members. The lower cylindrical member has a durable plastic outer casing and an inner lining of thermal insulating material of a height sufficient to receive and substantially enclose the beverage container. The upper cylindrical member comprises a durable plastic casing fitting over the open upper end of the insulating lining. An opening in the upper member exposes a portion of the beverage container adjacent its opening. A pair of pivot members mounted on the upper member are operated by a lever disposed on the sidewall to selectively expose the opening of the beverage container.

An insulated enclosure for beverage containers comprises upper and lower cup shaped cylindrical members each having a durable plastic outer casing and an inner lining of thermal insulating material receive and substantially enclose said beverage container. An opening in the upper member exposes a portion of the beverage container adjacent its opening. A pair of pivot members mounted on the upper member are operated by a level disposed on the sidewall to selectively expose the opening of the beverage container.
