Apparatuses and methods of operating a flexible and optimized power management unit (PMU) for multiple power supply scenarios are described. One integrated circuit includes a first terminal to couple to an unregulated power supply, a second terminal to couple to a regulated power supply, a first regulator, and a second regulator. The first regulator outputs a first supply voltage in a first configuration, and the second regulator outputs a second supply voltage in a second configuration. The first and second regulators do not operate concurrently.

In some examples, an apparatus can include a supply reservoir including print substance, and a rotary valve having a central rotary axis, where the central rotary axis is perpendicular to a height of the supply reservoir, where the rotary valve is in a closed position such that the print substance is unable to be supplied from the supply reservoir.

A door frame profile and reinforcement assembly to increase the resistance of an entry door and door frame to forced entry by an intruder. Increased resistance is achieved by fitting and securing a U-shaped bar within a machined slot in the back of the door frame and attaching a shaped plate or plates that fits within the shaped bar and retains the door's throw bolt of the deadbolt and/or latch of the door lock. Optionally, with stronger door frames, the shaped plate alone may suffice, and the plate can be modified to a simple L-shaped form, a portion of which is inserted into a narrow groove which replaces the machined slot.

Improved decorative shoes for balusters that cover and conceal the attachment points of the balusters to the tread, floor, or rail surfaces and secure themselves in place without the need for mechanical fasteners or adhesives. The baluster shafts can be retained within central holes in the shoes by the use of compressive elastic means such as flexible sheets, rods, strips, O-rings or the like to produce an interference fit when the shaft is inserted in the holes. The shoes can be produced in both flat and angled versions.

A truss-mounted attic storage system that is formed by the assembly and mounting of a set of brackets and bars to an adjacent pair of trusses to form a horizontal shelf or rack that is secured in place. The shelf or rack can then have a crate, box or tote containing items to be stored set on and held by the shelf or rack.

Molded planar products such as solid interior and entry doors produced by molding lignocellulosic and cellulosic composite materials. The doors can be manufactured by compressing and heating a layered mixture of fine wood particles blended with thermo-set molding resins and coarse wood particles blended with thermo-set binding resins between two molds, which may contain relief patterns. The molded products are strong, solid and have hard, smooth, paint-ready outer surfaces.

A manufacturing process is disclosed that allows molded planar products such as solid interior and entry doors to be produced by molding lignocellulosic and cellulosic composite materials. The doors can be manufactured by compressing and heating a layered mixture of fine wood particles blended with thermo-set molding resins and coarse wood particles blended with thermo-set binding resins between two open molds. The molded door is then removed from between the molds and trimmed to the finished size.
