An automated control device for monitoring the position angle of an absorption type cooling system or refrigerator that circulates a refrigerant, an absorbent, and a diffusion agent within a conduit system includes a housing, a controller with a processor within the housing, a sensor in communication with the controller for measuring the angle of inclination of the refrigerator, and a stress counter connected to the controller for counting increments of stress induced into the cooling system. The tilt monitoring control method prevents system stress, which in turn prevents personal and property damage due to hydrogen gas leaks, fires and explosions.

A refrigerator shelving system includes an item retainer for securing items carried on a shelf, a mounting member for releasably securing a shelf to a cabinet of the refrigerator, and a spill tray carried by the shelf. The item retainer is movable between a first position and a second position such that when in the first position, a first side upwardly extends from the shelf and defines a fence and when in the second position the first side is parallel and adjacent to an upper surface of the shelf. The shelf mounting member includes a first portion rotatably interconnected to a lateral side of the shelf and a second portion for selectively engaging a horizontal slot of a cabinet of the refrigerator. The mounting member is rotatable from a first position to a second position to engage the second portion with the horizontal slot. The spill tray includes a main body portion and a plurality of mounting elements. The main body portion is disposed parallel to and substantially adjacent a lower side of the shelf and is positioned completely below the shelf. The plurality of mounting elements releasably engage the shelf.

Refrigerator shelving system

A refrigerator cabinet includes an interior liner, an exterior cabinet and a breaker assembly. The breaker assembly connects the interior liner and the exterior cabinet and maintains a space therebetween. The breaker assembly includes a first breaker strip. The first breaker strip has a forward leg, a side leg, and a clip portion. The side leg extends from the forward leg and is oriented substantially perpendicular to the forward leg. The clip portion is carried by the forward leg. An adjacent side surface of the exterior cabinet is defined by a sheet of cardboard. The cardboard is captured between the side leg and the clip portion.

Refrigerator cabinet breaker assembly

A gas absorption refrigeration apparatus combines two or more separate gas absorption cooling systems. Each cooling system consists of a generator, a condenser, an evaporator, an absorber and tubing connecting the parts to form a complete circulation system for a refrigerant, an absorption liquid and an inert gas. The cooling systems are mounted to a common cabinet with the evaporators of each system being located within the interior insulated compartment of the cabinet. The generator of each cooling system shares a common heat source.

A refrigerator for RVs comprising an upright cabinet with an internal cold compartment and a door member mounted on the cabinet for closing said compartment, two pairs of upright hinge pins on the cabinet on opposite sides of the door enables the door to swing from both right and left sides of the cabinet. A single actuator is provided for putting the door from a left swing to a right swing and vice versa. In addition, the actuator can secure the door on the cabinet during RV travel. It can also enable easy removal of the door from the cabinet. Cams and cam followers are associated with the cabinet and the door to cause the door to be lifted when opened and lowered when closed to assure easy opening and closing of the door.

A refrigerator for recreational vehicles comprising a generally cubic cabinet having front, back and top sides along with absorbent-type refrigerating apparatus on the back side. A flap member adjustably mounted on the back side at a position above the refrigerating apparatus extends upwardly and outwardly from the cabinet into sealing engagement with the walls of the compartment in the recreational vehicle in which the refrigerator is installed. The configuration of the flap member and the mounting of the flap member so that it can readily be adjusted to a number of positions enhances the ability of the flap member to prevent gases created by the refrigerating apparatus from propagating into the living quarters of the recreational vehicle.
