An object management system, an aircraft design system, and a method for managing an object. A three-dimensional environment with a model of an object and an avatar representing a human operator from a viewpoint relative to the avatar is displayed on a display system. A motion of the human operator is detected. An interaction between the avatar and the model of the object is identified in real time using information about motions of the human operator that are detected in real time. The interaction changes a group of dimensions in the model of the object. Further, the interaction between the avatar and the model of the object in the three-dimensional environment is displayed on the display system, enabling design changes in the model of the object made by the human operator.

Immersive design management system

A pressure bulkhead for an aircraft includes a wall assembly. The wall assembly includes a first wall section which extends in a direction nonparallel to a length of the aircraft. The wall assembly further includes a second wall section secured to the first wall section wherein the second wall section includes a curved shape. The curved shape includes a convex portion which extends further along the length of the aircraft in a direction toward the aft end of the aircraft than the first wall section. A method for assembling a pressure bulkhead is also provided.

Pressurized bulkhead

A method and apparatus for generating a virtual reality environment. Data requirements for generating the virtual reality environment are identified. The virtual reality environment includes objects that are displayed on a display system using a group of models defined by a group of standards. Discrete points for the objects are generated from the models based on the data requirements for generating the virtual reality environment for a selected point in time. At least one of color adjustments or contour adjustments is identified for a portion of the discrete points based on the group of standards and the data requirements when adjustments are needed. The discrete points are modified based on at least one of the color adjustments or the contour adjustments identified to form modified discrete points, which enable generating the virtual reality environment with a desired level of accuracy for training.

Virtual reality environment color and contour processing system

An antenna and radome assembly has an adapter plate engaging a first fitting configuration mounted to an aircraft fuselage. The adapter plate mechanically supports an antenna assembly wherein the antenna assembly is originally configured for a second fitting configuration. A radome is attached to the adapter plate enclosing the antenna assembly. The adapter plate has at least a nose portion providing reactive structure adapted to transform a longitudinal load on the radome into an induced downward vertical deflection.

Structural provisions for an adapter plate for conversion of an airborne antenna attachment interface

Pressure bulkhead apparatus is disclosed. An example bulkhead apparatus includes a frame and a plurality of beams radially spaced relative to a longitudinal axis of the frame. A beam from the plurality of beams has a first end and a second end. A beam end assembly couples the second end of the beam and a stringer of a fuselage. The beam end assembly enables the second end of the beam to move relative to at least one of the frame or the stringer.

Pressure bulkhead apparatus

An object testing system and method for testing an object. A three-dimensional environment is displayed with a model of an object and an avatar from a viewpoint relative to the avatar on a display system viewed by a human operator. The object is under testing in a live environment. Information about motions of the human operator that are detected is generated. Live information about the object that is under testing in the live environment is received. A change in the object from applying the live information to the model of the object is identified. The change in the model of the object is displayed on the display system as seen from the viewpoint relative to the avatar in the three-dimensional environment.
