A sanding tool includes a handle assembly with a support member and a head assembly that includes a sanding member that is rotatable relative to the handle assembly about a drive axis. The sanding tool also includes a pivot assembly that pivotably couples the head assembly to the support member of the handle assembly. The support member pivotably supports the pivot assembly, the drive axis extends through the pivot assembly, and the head assembly is pivotable about a plurality of different axes relative to the support member. The plurality of different axes includes an axis that is substantially aligned with the drive axis.

A sanding tool includes a handle assembly and a head assembly having a sanding member. The sanding tool also includes at least one pivot member that pivotably couples the handle assembly and the head assembly such that the head assembly is pivotable about a plurality of different axes relative to the handle assembly.

An angle grinder is provided including a rotating handle configuration allowing the handle of the angle grinder to be locked in different positions relative to the angle grinder housing. A switch mounting configuration is provided for simplifying the assembly of the switch device. A gear wheel lock mechanism is also provided to allow the grinding wheel spindle to be prevented from rotating during removal or installation of a grinding wheel on the spindle. A gear case cooling and air bleed arrangement are also provided.

Angle grinder

A hand-held, fan-cooled motor drive jig saw with a two-piece, tiltable shoe assembly having a reversible, phenolic resin base portion with a wide recess for scrolling and a narrow recess for straight cuts. The base is connected to the shoe cover independent of the attachment of the cover to the saw housing to maintain a pre-selected tilt angle. Coolant air exhausted from the saw housing is channeled through flow passages in the shoe assembly to outlet ports in the shoe assembly to provide debris-clearing air streams oriented parallel to the workpiece surface and perpendicular to the cutting direction. The housing exhaust port is flow-connected to the shoe assembly through complementary sliding surfaces at the point of attachment.
