A wheeled training device for simulating cross country skiing and the like on a surface which is not covered by snow includes a platform member and a support rod which is secured to the platform member and extends at each end past the platform member. A pair of longitudinally spaced wheels are provided, one being secured adjacent each end of the support rod. Each wheel is spaced from a respective adjacent end edge of the platform member. The platform member is tapered toward one side edge of the device so that the device can be tilted toward the tapered edge, to simulate a ski edging motion, without dragging on the ground.

Roller ski construction

A method and apparatus for regulating the speed of a multitrack audiotape machine while recording audio from a multitrack audiotape onto a videotape. The speed of the audiotape machine is regulated by correlating a video synchronization signal previously recorded onto the audiotape with a video synchronization signal controlling the videotape recorder during the recording. Highly accurate synchronization between the two machines is achieved. This allows for the transfer of multiple audio tracks from the multitrack audiotape onto the videotape and then onto multiple laser videodiscs, such that during playback of the multiple laser videodiscs, the laser videodisc players can be synchronized with each other.

System for synchronizing audiotape and videotape machines

A photographic process is provided for transferring an animation sketch or the like from paper onto a transparent cell for use in making animated motion pictures and the like. The animation sketch on paper is photographed to produce a negative of the sketch which is then used as a mask during exposure of a transparent cell bearing a light-sensitive dye film of selected color. Masked portions of the dye film are removed from the cell leaving the exposed cured portions defining a replica of the animation sketch to form a so-called cartoon cell. The thus-formed cartoon cell is backed-up with color as required and composited with other cells having other sketches transferred thereto to form an animation scene.
