Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for one or more financial transactions based on a change in location of the user or a time. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a payment system detecting a change in location of a user or a change in time and determining, based on the change, that a payment transaction has occurred. The payment system then causes presentation of digital receipt for the payment transaction on a mobile device of a customer.

Automatic triggering of receipt delivery

A technique is disclosed for generating an interactive digital receipt on a device associated with a customer, where the receipt offers transaction information associated with a transaction and one or more interactive components. In one embodiment, one or more servers of a payment service generates the interactive digital receipt. The interactive digital receipt includes an interactive feedback component as one of the one or more interactive components. A determination can be made by the one or more servers that feedback was received within a timeframe satisfying a timeframe criterion. Based on determining that the feedback was received within the timeframe, a reward can be transmitted by the one or more servers to the device associated with the customer.

Interactive digital receipt

Introduced here is a technology that enables a merchant to create customer-targeted, customized communications by use of a merchant platform executing on a financial service system. The merchant platform generates content for communications that is based on a particular customer segment. The customer segment includes one or more groups of customers segmented based on one or more attributes associated with each group of customers. An attribute is determined based on data collected by the financial service system, where the data is related to transaction data of a plurality of merchants.

Customer segment communications

A technique is disclosed for providing an interactive digital receipt on a user device, where the receipt offers transaction information associated with a financial transaction and one or more interactive components including an interactive tipping component that allows a customer to add a gratuity amount for the financial transaction. The interactive digital receipt is generated in response to an occurrence of the particular financial transaction. In one embodiment, the interactive tipping component is time-based and is associated with a timeframe that defines a time period for which the customer may submit the gratuity amount. Based on determining that no input to the interactive tipping component has been received within the timeframe, a payment is processed for a transaction amount and a default gratuity amount.

Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for a financial transaction based on a previously stored electronic address for receiving digital receipts. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a digital receipt system working in coordination with one or more merchants' POS device to deliver receipts for current transactions based on a previously stored electronic address from past transactions. The first time a user utilizes a payment instrument in a transaction, the system associates and stores the payment-instrument information with an identifier of the user. The next time a transaction is detected that involves the identifier, the system automatically triggers receipt delivery to an electronic address associated with the identifier.

Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for a financial transaction based on a previously stored electronic address for receiving digital receipts. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a digital receipt system working in coordination with one or more merchants' POS device to deliver receipts for current transactions based on a previously stored electronic address from past transactions. The first time a user utilizes a payment card in a transaction, the system associates and stores a user-provided electronic address with the card. The next time the user utilizes the card in a new transaction, the system identifies the card has been used in a past transaction, determines the electronic address associated with the card, and automatically triggers receipt delivery to the electronic address, regardless of the new transaction being with a same or different merchant than the one in the past transaction.

Introduced here is a technology that enables a merchant to create customer-targeted, customized digital receipts by use of a merchant platform executing on a financial service system. The merchant platform generates feature programs for incorporating in a digital receipt based on customer segmentation. The customer segmentation includes one or more groups of customers segmented based on one or more attributes associated with each group of customers. An attribute is determined based on data collected by the financial service system, where the data is related to the merchant and other merchants that are either similarly situated as the merchant or similarly located in a geographical area as the merchant. The feature programs can include a feedback program, a loyalty reward program, a promotion program, and/or a tipping program.

Merchant platform

A technique is disclosed for generating an interactive digital receipt on a user device, where the receipt offers an engagement platform for merchants and customers to interact on a continuous basis. The interactive digital receipt is generated in response to an occurrence of a particular financial transaction. The receipt includes a plurality of time-based interactive components to enable the merchant and the customer to interact with one another. The plurality of time-based interactive components includes a promotion component, a tipping component, a feedback component, and a loyalty rewards component. Each component is associated with a timeframe which defines a time period for which the customer may interact with the component. Content presented via each component changes corresponding to the time period. The time period can range from a limited time period to an unlimited time period.

Interactive digital platform

A dispenser adapted for use in personal application of viscous liquid. The dispenser includes a hollow container for the liquid and valve structure on the container. The valve is automatically shiftable by actuation of an exterior portion thereof to bias a spring structure and permit flow of the viscous liquid to the person. The spring structure is designed so that a substantially uniform opening is provided to facilitate uniform dispensing of viscous liquid such as a lotion. For this purpose, the spring structure includes a plurality of spaced spring stems which act in concert to submit uniformly to pressure in opening of the valve and to substantially uniformly close the valve when the pressure is released. In another form, the dispenser is designed for application of flavoring to a product such as a cigarette and the valve actuator is positioned in relation to a guide so that a product end can be guided into engagement with the actuator to open the valve and permit flavoring contained within the dispenser container to be applied to the product.

Disposable fluid dispenser

A marker compass assembly including a leg of fixed length. A cross-arm is pivotally mounted to one end of the leg. The other end of the leg is structured to facilitate positioning at a desired location on a surface to be marked. A retainer/cap is affixed to the end of the cross-arm distal from the leg and has a recess therein to receive and frictionally engage with either end of a marker body of fixed length. The leg has a predetermined length so that when the marker is held in the retainer/cap with the marker surface exposed and the leg is positioned at the desired location on the surface to be marked, the marker will be in position to mark the surface. Pivoting of the cross-arm will adjust the position of the marker tip relative to the positioned end of the leg on the surface thereby determining the radius of the arc that is to be drawn.

Marker compass

A marker system that employs an erasing unit that can couple and uncouple readily from its marker to facilitate the use of specific chemical reagents to 'erase' their associated indicator dye inks without the use of non-discriminating bleaches. This erasing unit or anti-marker marker can be mounted in the marker cap, alternately in the marker barrel or used as a separate erasing unit.
