A method of controlling moss by applying to grass infested with moss a dry composition including: a) a source of nitrogen such as isobutylenediurea or methylene urea; b) a non-ionic surfactant or wetting agent; c) a metal containing salt, and d) an acidic pH adjusting agent effective to adjust the pH of the composition to a pH of between 2.5 and 5 when wetted on grass. The dry composition may be a granular composition, and may be applied by broadcasting over a large area.

Solid moss control composition

A hair holding device including hingedly connected first and second body members each including hair gripping portions adapted to be squeezed by a user whereby the hair gripping portions come into contact with gathered strands of a user's hair. The device further includes a friction-type adjustment mechanism coaxially arranged with respect to the hinge for causing the hair gripping portions to remain at a point at which the hair gripping portions are squeezed together by a user. Optionally, the device may include squeezable release handles or other release mechanism, as well as a torsion spring for biasing the hair gripping portions into either an open or a closed position.

Adjustable hair holding device

The present invention is an aqueous composition for controlling or eradicating moss from undesirable locations such as lawns and golf course putting greens. The composition contains a fertilizer, a metal containing salt, a surfactant or wetting agent, and optionally, an acidic pH control agent. The composition can be provided in a form to be mixed and/or diluted by the end-user or in an aqueous form ready to be sprayed onto the infected area. Since the product can be broadly applied and encourages grass growth and development, it provides significant advantages over conventional moss control products intended for spot treating only.

Moss control composition

A ratchet-type buckle () is disclosed for use with a ladder strap (), wherein the buckle includes a toothed, barrel-shaped strap engagement member () that is rotatably mounted between oppositely disposed sidewalls () that are pivotally coupled to a base (). The engagement member is positioned to drivably engage and hold the strap. A holding pawl () allows forward rotation and hinders backward rotation of the engagement member. A driving pawl () is incorporated into a lever assembly (), which is pivotally coupled to the sidewalls, the driving pawl positioned to engage and rotate the engagement member teeth when the lever assembly is pivoted in a forward direction. The pivotal coupling of the sidewalls to the base permit the engagement member to be lifted away from the base, to release the strap. The sidewalls are preferably biased towards the base.
