A clock data recovery circuit includes a deglitch filter circuit and a timer circuit. The deglitch filter circuit is configured to remove pulses of less than a particular duration from a data signal to produce a deglitched data signal. The timer circuit is coupled to the deglitch filter, and is configured to compare a duration of a pulse of the deglitched data signal to a threshold duration, and identify the pulse as representing a logic one based on the duration of the pulse exceeding the threshold duration.

Clock data recovery circuit

A clock data recovery circuit includes a deglitch filter circuit and a timer circuit. The deglitch filter circuit is configured to remove pulses of less than a predetermined duration from a data signal to produce a deglitched data signal. The timer circuit is coupled to the deglitch filter, and is configured to compare a duration of a pulse of the deglitched data signal to a threshold duration, and identify the pulse as representing a logic one based on the duration of the pulse exceeding the threshold duration.

A device includes: a capacitor having first and second terminals; a first switch; a second switch coupled to the second terminal; a first multiplier coupled between the first and second terminals; a second multiplier coupled between the first and second terminals; and a buffer having an input terminal and an output terminal. The first switch is coupled between the output terminal and the first terminal.

Methods and apparatus to improve switching conditions in a closed loop system

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to improve switching conditions in a closed loop system. An example device includes a first switch adapted to be coupled to a first node, a second switch adapted to be coupled to a second node, a capacitor including a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein the first terminal is coupled the first switch, and wherein the second terminal is coupled to the second switch, a first multiplier coupled to the first terminal and to the second terminal, wherein the first multiplier is adapted to be coupled to at least a third node and a fourth node, and a second multiplier coupled to the first terminal and to the second terminal.

Methods and apparatus for DC-DC soft start are disclosed herein, an example DC-DC voltage converter includes at least two transistors to at least charge or discharge an inductor from an input source and to ground respectively, the inductor to output an output voltage. A synchronize and track circuit generates a bias current based on a reference voltage. An amplifier generates an error current based on an output voltage and the reference voltage. An oscillator oscillates at a switching frequency based on the bias current and the error current. A multiplexer selects between (1) a first input signal generated based on the switching frequency, and (2) a second input signal generated based on the switching frequency and the error current, for output as a reset signal. A latch provides a control signal to the at least two transistors based on the reset signal and the switching frequency.

Methods and apparatus for DC-DC soft start

Methods and apparatus for flying capacitor balancing in multilevel converters are disclosed. Example flying capacitor balancing circuitry can include voltage difference sense and control circuitry and duty cycle timing adjustment circuitry. The voltage difference sense and control circuitry can generate a compensation control signal for the duty cycle timing adjustment circuitry.

Systems and methods of driving multiple outputs are provided in which a single inductor may be used to drive multiple output such as independent strings of LEDs or white LEDs (WLEDs). In an example embodiment, a boost DC to DC converter may be used with a single inductor to drive multiple outputs. In an example embodiment, the error voltage of each of the multiple outputs is sampled during each cycle of the DC to DC converter and the largest error voltage is determined for that cycle. Power from the DC to DC converter is then supplied to that output during that cycle.

An example method comprises forming a substrate having a first trace and a contact, attaching an integrated circuit to the substrate over the first trace, and electrically coupling the first trace to the contact via an electrical conductor that extends over the integrated circuit to form the inductor in the packaged integrated circuit.

One embodiment of the invention includes a switching power supply system. The system includes a switch network comprising at least one switch configured to provide an output voltage based on switching activity thereof. The system also includes a switching controller configured to control the switch network to maintain the output voltage provided at an output based on a feedback signal associated with the output voltage. A converter pulse detector is configured to detect an output voltage overshoot condition based on the switching activity of the switch network corresponding to a transition in an output load to which the output voltage is provided.

A single-inductor dual-output buck converter facilitates power conversion by converting a single DC power source/supply into two separate DC outputs, each of which can be configured to provide a selected/desired voltage. The converter includes a single inductor and three power switches, which control operation of the converter. The converter has four basic stages of operation in which power is initially supplied to a first output that also stores charge. Subsequently, the stored charge of the first output is employed to provide power to a second output.

Single inductor dual output buck converter

A switching mode converter, having a switching transistor and an inductor, has a discontinuity detector coupled to the inductor which detects when the converter enters the discontinuous mode. The discontinuity detector determines the portion of the cycle of the switching transistor in which the converter is in the discontinuous mode. A feedback controller is coupled to the output of the converter and to the discontinuity detector which alters a feedback control signal of the converter.

DC/DC converter having improved regulation

A single-inductor dual-output buck converter and control method that facilitates power conversion by converting a single DC power source/supply into two separate DC outputs, each of which can be configured to provide a selected/desired voltage by selection of respective duty cycles. The topology of the inverter includes a pair of diodes or switches that can selectively re-circulate inductor current. The converter is generally operated at a fixed frequency with four stages of operation. A first and third stage of operation provide power to a first and second output, respectively. A second and fourth stage of operation re-circulate inductor current and can partially recharge a battery type power source. The power output for each stage (voltage and current) can be selectively obtained by computing and employing appropriate time periods for the stages of operation that correspond to appropriate duty cycles.

Single inductor dual output buck converter with frequency and time varying offset control

A DC/DC switching regulator has a semiconductor switch coupled to an inductor, a first capacitor and a rectifier. A circuit to improve the switching efficiency of the semiconductor switch has a transmission gate coupled between the gate of the semiconductor switch and a second capacitor. The transmission gate is turned ON only when the gate of the semiconductor switch is about to make a positive or negative transition and isolated from the first and second voltage sources. A portion of the charge stored in the parasitic capacitance of the gate of the semiconductor switch can be stored in the second capacitor and reused to partially drive the semiconductor switch from the second to the first ON/OFF state. A further embodiment employs this technique with a synchronous rectifier in the regulator circuit.

Disclosed are compositions and methods of treating oak wilt, decline, or other fungus-induced diseases of trees. A mixture is applied to the root system comprising sulfur and pentachloronitrobenzene or pentachlorophenol as its active ingredients, and optionally other ingredients such as a wetting agent, nitrogen, an insecticide, and a nutrient source. It is preferable to simultaneously treat the bark and crown of the tree with a composition which includes a fungicide and an insecticide. Other ingredients, such as a wetting agent or a fungicide/nutrient, can also be present in the Bark & Crown Composition.
