A method of manufacturing an electromagnetic shield for electromagnetic radiation shielding. The electromagnetic shield is formed via the additive fabrication of a compound comprised of at least 90 percent tungsten by weight or alternatively 40 to 60 percent tungsten by volume.

An apparatus includes a plate defining a surface for holding food and further defines at least one opening therein. A collapsible beverage holder fits within the at least one opening defined within the surface of the plate and moves between a collapsed configuration responsive to the apparatus being placed on a surface and an un-collapsed configuration responsive to the apparatus being lifted off the surface by the plate. A plurality of flexible latching tabs secures the collapsible beverage holder to an edge of the at least one opening. The plurality of flexible latching tabs further comprises at least one locking member for engaging the edge of the at least one opening to removeably secure the collapsible beverage holder to the plate. A flexible member interconnects the at least one locking member to the collapsible beverage holder. The flexible member enables the at least one locking member to be moved between a first position for inserting and removing the collapsible beverage holder from the plate and a second position for securing the collapsible beverage holder to the plate.

An apparatus comprises a plate defining a surface for holding food that defines at least one opening therein. A collapsible beverage holder fits within the at least one opening defined within the surface of the plate. The collapsible beverage holder is automatically configured to a collapsed configuration responsive to the apparatus being placed on a surface and is automatically configured to an un-collapsed configuration responsive to the apparatus being lifted off the surface by the plate.

A display cable supports communication of display information and peripheral information between a display and an information handling system by selectively adapting data links of the display cable to include peripheral information. The data links can switch between display information and peripheral information communication or can include identifier information to support switching of both types of information on a common data link.

An information handling system includes a capacitor, an antenna, a wireless wide area network card, an embedded display port interface, and a digital-to-analog converter. The capacitor has a variable capacitance that varies based on a voltage applied to the capacitor. The antenna is coupled to the capacitor, and has a variable resonance frequency that is based on the variable capacitance. The wireless wide area network card is in communication with the antenna, and is configured to set the variable resonance frequency to a specific frequency based on a control signal. The embedded display port interface is configured to transmit the control signal from the wireless wide area network card to a display control circuit via an auxiliary channel of the embedded display port interface. The digital-to-analog converter is in communication with the display control circuit, and is configured to provide the voltage to the capacitor in response to a signal from the display control circuit.

A dual transceiver architecture provides source and sink device capabilities for communicating visual information between information handling systems and displays. A detector determines whether a cable connected to a port provides visual information or receives digital information. If visual information is received at a port, the visual information is provided to an adjacent port through a dual transceiver architecture so that the visual information is available to forward to another display, information handling system or other device. A common connector configuration simplifies the connection of multiple displays or devices, such as in a daisy chain configuration.

A method of providing information for display includes receiving primary, secondary, and tertiary information for display at an information handling system. The tertiary information is communicated to a display interface after the primary and secondary information during a time period otherwise assigned to the communication of dummy information. This allows more information to be communicated via a communication channel.

An improved method and apparatus is disclosed for communicating control information between components of an audio/video system. Processing and control logic is implemented to transfer a plurality of data streams on predetermined channels of a digital video interface. A first data stream contains video data received by a video interface receiver, where it is used to generate an image on a digital display. A second data stream contains control data, which is similarly received by the video interface receiver, and is used to control source devices coupled to the digital display.
