A latch assembly for preventing access into a door or drawer is provided. The latch assembly includes a housing configured to mount on a door or drawer, and at least one dog is slidably mounted in the housing for movement between a locked position and an unlocked position. The latch assembly include actuators operatively connected to the dog for moving the dog to the unlocked position. A key is insertable into a key slot on a side of the housing to move the actuators. The latch assembly may be used in combination with a catch assembly configured to mount on a door or drawer frame. The catch assembly is constructed to engage at least a portion of the dog in the locked position. The catch assembly may include a spring to move the latch assembly relative to the catch assembly such that the door or drawer may open slightly while in the locked position enabling a key to be inserted into the key slot to move the dog to the unlocked position.

Cardlock mechansim

A drinking cup having an interior pill shelf with passages to allow liquid in the cup when drunk, to flow through the shelf and carry the pill with it into the mouth. A separate pill box is attached to the outside of the cup wall for carrying pills to be taken at a later time.

A child proof cover for the control panel of equipment such as audio and video players. The cover has a sheet that attaches to the case of the equipment and extends over the control panel. One end of the sheet is detachably connected to the case above the control panel and the other end of the sheet is connected to the case below the control panel by a latch assembly that includes a safety lock. The latch assembly requires several buttons to be simultaneously depressed to lift the sheet off the control panel.

A toothbrush or other utensil specifically designed for use by toddlers and small children provides a handle in the form of an animal figure having a body, which is essentially to scale. The handle carries either a rearwardly extending tail or forwardly extending trunk or other singular symmetrical limb. A toothbrush head or other operative utensil portion of somewhat conventional shape is secured to the limb, tail or trunk. The body includes appendages, such as legs, that allow it to stand stably upon a planar surface with the operative utensil portion supported off of the surface. The shaft of the utensil can include a spring-loaded locking member so that it is detachably removable from a base of the handle.

A chassis for scaled-down toy vehicles has the battery-powered motor mounted directly over the driven axle at a rearwardly and downwardly extended angle. The battery rests between the stub axles supporting the front, freely rotatable wheels.
