A ladder assembly includes a ladder and a basket. The ladder has a first end and an opposing second end configured to couple to the fire apparatus. The basket is coupled to the first end of the ladder. The basket includes a subfloor frame assembly, a floor panel coupled to the subfloor frame assembly, and an upper frame assembly extending upward from and around a periphery of the floor panel. The upper frame assembly includes a front portion, a rear portion, opposing side portions coupled to the rear portion; and a pair of doors extending between the front portion and the opposing side portions. The pair of doors are positioned proximate front corners of the basket and oriented at an angle relative to the front portion and the opposing side portions.

Platform for a ladder assembly of a fire apparatus

A high voltage system for an electrified vehicle includes a first high voltage component, a second high voltage component, and a high voltage cable. The high voltage cable provides power between a first location of the first high voltage component and a second location of the second high voltage component. The high voltage cable includes a core, a sheath disposed around and along the core, and one or more detection layers at least one of (a) disposed around and along the sheath or (b) disposed within the sheath. The one or more detection layers are configured to facilitate detecting at least one of (a) damage or wear to the sheath or (b) a location of the damage or wear along the sheath.

A fire apparatus includes a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a torque box coupled to the chassis, a pedestal coupled to the torque box, a ladder assembly coupled to the pedestal, and a stability assembly. The torque box has a front end and a rear end. The pedestal is positioned between the front end and the rear end of the torque box. The stability assembly includes a housing coupled to the chassis and the front end of the torque box, a pair of outriggers received within the housing, and a downrigger coupled to the rear end of the torque box. The pair of outriggers is selectively extendable laterally outward in opposing directions. The downrigger is selectively extendable downward.

Fire apparatus

A vehicle includes a cabin, a brake, a vehicle subsystem, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to receive an indication that an operator is attempting to exit the cabin and automatically engage the brake in response to the indication to prevent movement of the vehicle. The vehicle subsystem remains operational while the brake is engaged.

A vehicle includes a chassis, a driveline coupled to the chassis, and a control system. The control system is configured to monitor a condition of at least one of the vehicle, an area around the vehicle, or an operator of the vehicle; and control operation of the driveline based on the condition. Controlling the operation of the driveline includes at least one of limiting a speed at which the driveline drives the vehicle or shutting down the driveline and isolating a component of the driveline.

Condition based vehicle performance management

A vehicle includes an energy storage system, a battery cooling system, and a thermal event management system. The energy storage system includes a battery arranged within a battery housing. The battery cooling system includes a first conduit positioned internal to the battery housing and adjacent the battery. The first conduit is configured to facilitate circulating a first fluid through the battery housing to thermally regulate the battery. The thermal event management system includes a second conduit with a fluid diverter positioned therealong. The second conduit is positioned adjacent to at least one of the battery or the battery housing. The second conduit is configured to receive a second fluid. The fluid diverter is configured to facilitate selectively providing fluid communication between the second conduit and the battery housing so that the second fluid flows out of the second conduit and at least one of into or around the battery housing.

Systems and methods for battery thermal management on a vehicle

An electrified vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage system supported by the chassis, and a battery cooling system. The energy storage system includes a battery positioned within a battery housing. The battery cooling system includes a conduit positioned adjacent at least one of the battery or the battery housing and a fluid diverter positioned along the conduit. The fluid diverter is configured to facilitate selectively providing fluid communication between the conduit and the battery housing so that a fluid flowing through the conduit flows out of the conduit and at least one of into or around the battery housing.

A mid-mount fire apparatus includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, a front cabin coupled to the chassis forward of the body assembly, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, and a ladder assembly having a proximal end that is coupled to the chassis rearward of the front cabin and between the front axle and the rear axle. The ladder assembly includes a plurality of ladder sections. The ladder assembly is extensible to a horizontal reach of at least 88 feet. A distal end of the ladder assembly does not extend beyond the rear end of the body assembly when fully retracted.

Mid-mount fire apparatus

A fluid supply system includes a fluid delivery system including a pump, a sensor configured to acquire data regarding the fluid delivery system, and a processing circuit coupled to the sensor. The processing circuit is configured to determine a health level of the fluid delivery system based on the data and provide a notification in response to the health level not satisfying a threshold.
