A toothbrush having a handle, a head, and a neck extending between the handle and the head is disclosed. The handle having one or more elastomeric handle regions. The head having a first face and a second face. The second face opposes the first face and at least one of the first face or second face has an elastomer filled recess. The elastomer filled recess has a plurality of cleaning elements. An elastomer filled supply channel extends from the one or more elastomeric handle regions to the elastomer filled recess.

An electric toothbrush comprises a head having a bristle face and an opposite face, the head including a longitudinal groove filled with an elastomer; and a handle connected to the head and formed at least in part by a non-compressible material.

A process for forming a grooming implement is provided. The steps include providing a blank having a head and a handle, wherein the head has one or more void spaces which divide said head into at least two segments, and injecting an elastomer into the void space at a temperature of at least about 245&deg; C. thereby fusing the elastomer to the segments and forming a resiliently flexible joint. The elastomer is the sole mechanical link between the segments such that the segments can flex relative to each other and the elastomer can be stretched to about 120% of its unstressed length without separation of the elastomer from the segments.

A package for dispensing premeasured quantities of a granular or powdered fluent material, having an elongate container with sloping shoulders and an open, upstanding neck surmounted by an overcap. The overcap has a topwall, a dispensing orifice, an outer skirt, and an inner skirt separate from or partially contiguous with the outer skirt. The inner skirt surrounds the container neck in an overlapping, laterally-spaced relationship. These define a preliminary measuring section above the container neck bounded by the topwall and the inner skirt, a main measuring section bounded by the sloping shoulders and the outer skirt, and an outlet passage located between the inner and outer skirts and communicating with the dispensing orifice. The lateral separation of the inner skirt and container neck is such as to constrict flow of material from the preliminary measuring section to the main measuring section during inversion of the package and to permit such flow on restoring the package to its normal upright position.
