A method for marking relevant data within an acquired set of data in accordance with an embodiment includes receiving a location of a first synchronization event within a synchronizing time pulse synchronized with the acquired set of data, searching the synchronizing time pulse within a predetermined window for the first synchronization event based on the location, identifying the first synchronization event based on the search, and obtaining data from the acquired set of data within an offset range determined based on the identified first synchronization event. The steps are then iteratively repeated for a number of periods.

Method for marking data in time/frequency measurement

Provided herein are techniques for characterizing a test fixture that is used for connecting a device under test (DUT) to a vector network analyzer (VNA), e.g., to thereby enable de-embedding of the test fixture from measurements of the DUT connected to the test fixture. In an embodiment, the test fixture is separated into 4-port test fixture segments, based on which ports of the DUT have internal coupling. Each test fixture segment has an outer 2-port reference plane and an inner 2-port reference plane. A 4-port calibration is performed at outer planes of the two test fixture segments, while corresponding ports of the inner planes of the test fixture segments are connected together with thru segments, to thereby determine a thru set of S-parameters. A set of S-parameters is determined for each of the 4-port test fixture segments, based on the thru set of S-parameters.

Characterizing test fixtures

Embodiments of the present invention are directed towards systems, methods, and computer readable media for performing multiport vector network analysis. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a multiport network analysis that is derived from a family of two port calibration techniques including Thru/Reflect/Line (TRL), Thru/Reflect/Match (TRM), Line/Reflect/Line (LRL), Line/Reflect/Match (LRM) and several others. An improved calibration method enables the use of a simplified switch matrix to perform accurate vector network analysis in communications and networking systems. After determining some characteristics through conventional methods, a two tier load match correction is performed on the results. The improved correction mechanism enables the system to perform comparably to systems with more complicated switch matrices.

Calibration techniques for simplified high-frequency multiport differential measurements

Techniques are provided for performing full N-port calibrations in an environment in which a test set is used to connect an N-port DUT to an M-port VNA, where N&#x3e;M. Techniques for incorporating port impedances as part of a calibration sequence are provided. Also provided are techniques for using sequential characterization and de-embedding to generate virtual calibrations that are then used in a renormalization process.
