A system and method including receiving a data model representation of a part, the data model representation including at least one layer of the part and inner and outer contours for the at least one layer; determining a hatch pattern for each layer of the at least one layer of the part, the hatch pattern for each layer being dependent on the inner and outer contours for each respective layer; generating a record of the determined hatch pattern for each layer, the record including locations for the hatch pattern for each layer; and saving the record of the determined hatch pattern for each layer of the part. In some aspects, the record of the determined hatch pattern for each layer of the part may be used in an additive manufacturing process.

An example healthcare workflow management and reasoning system includes a workflow engine including a first particularly programmed processor to monitor one or more medical orders from one or more hospital information systems to identify a condition indicating that a first patient in a first room is ready for a clinical activity such as discharge. The example healthcare workflow management and reasoning system includes a sensing component including a second processor to gather occupancy data regarding the first patient in the first room and transmit the occupancy data to the workflow engine. The example workflow engine controls one or more hospital operational systems to trigger cleaning of the first room, lighting settings for the first room, and transportation of a second patient to the first room based on occupancy data from the sensing component.

Methods and systems to sense situational awareness with a dual doppler and control for optimized operations

According to some embodiments, system and methods are provided, comprising an installed product, including a plurality of components; a computer programmed with a damage metric model for the installed product, the damage metric model for providing an estimate of an extent of damage on one or more components; the computer programmed with a dynamic process control model for providing a dynamic response of the installed product with respect to its one or more operating parameters; the computer further programmed with a true-up model for providing a control action to reduce an uncertainty of the estimate provided by the damage metric model; the computer including a processor and a memory in communication with the processor, the memory storing the damage metric model and the true-up model; the memory storing additional program instructions, the processor operative with the additional program instructions to perform functions as follows: receiving an estimate output of the damage metric model, wherein the output includes the estimate of the extent of damage on the one or more components; generating, via the dynamic process control model, an operating response of the installed product to the received estimate output; in response to receipt of the estimate output, executing the true-up model; and generating, via execution of the true-up model, the plan to reduce uncertainty of the estimate output. Sensing and computing control system for shaping precise temporal physical states

A method of providing a recommendation for optimizing operations of a set of industrial assets is disclosed. Digital twins of the set of industrial assets are generated. The digital twins include data structures representing states of each of a plurality of subsystems of the set of industrial assets over a time period. The states are estimated based on an application of simulations using cumulative damage models. The cumulative damage models model the effects of exogenous factors on the operation of the set of industrial assets over the time period. The digital twins are analyzed with respect to simulated operating performances to determine an optimized control of operations of the industrial assets. The optimized control of operations is calculated to jointly and severally to increase the specified operating performance criteria in time present and future of the industrial assets or decrease an economic risk associated with the operation of the industrial assets, within a specified probability. The recommendation is presented in a user interface for use in optimizing the operation of the industrial assets or automatically changing operating setpoints pertaining to the industrial assets.

Controlling aircraft operations and aircraft engine components assignment

A method of generating a recommendation of terms of an aircraft services contract is disclosed. Operations data pertaining to a planned usage of each aircraft of a fleet of aircraft is received. The operations data pertains to the fleet of aircraft for which an aircraft services customer seeks to enter into a services contract with an aircraft services provider. The operations data includes flight schedule data and flight policy data specific to each of the aircraft. Historical data pertaining to actual usage of other fleets of aircraft with respect to the flight schedule data and the flight policy data is analyzed. The analyzing includes generating an estimation of a risk associated with the services contract from the perspective of the aircraft services provider. An acceptable price for the services contract is generated such that the risk is mitigated from the perspective of the services provider. The terms pertaining to the service contract are communicated for presentation in a user interface. The terms include the acceptable price with respect to the operations data and the flight policy data.

Computing system to control the use of physical state attainment of assets to meet temporal performance criteria

A method of providing a first set of computer systems with access to a recommendation pertaining to operation of one or more assets based on the one or more assets being in revenue service or in repair is disclosed. Operations data and inspection data is collected at the first set of computer systems. The operations data and inspection data pertains to operating asset states of one or more fleets of aircraft over a time period. The operations data and the inspection data is stored in one or more databases of a second set of computer systems. Assumptions of control input values are derived for use by the first set of computer systems based on the operations data and the inspection data. A financial objective and constraints analysis is performed with a simulation system for one or more assets of the one or more fleets of aircraft. The cost savings analysis includes identifying a modification of at least one of a set of the control input values. An estimated reduction of forecast error related to operating and service costs is computed for the one or more assets over one or more time periods. The identifying is based on comparisons of a first subset of the operations data and the inspection data with a second subset of the operations data and the inspection data. The first set of computer systems is provided with access to the recommendation pertaining to operation of the one or more assets.

A method to schedule resources in delivery of healthcare to a series of patients is provided. The method comprises the steps of identifying an availability of the series of resources to deliver the healthcare to each patient; calculating a predicted duration to deliver the healthcare to each patient; calculating a schedule including a block of time dependent on the predicted duration for each resource to deliver healthcare to the patient, the block of time including a start time and an end time; calculating a confidence level in the schedule, the confidence level including a probability that one or more of the resources will not be available for the block of time of the schedule or calculating a likelihood that one or more resources will be available for the block of time in the schedule; and outputting the schedule and the confidence level in the schedule for display.
