A processor device may: route the first mail item part and the second mail item part to a first destination; and route the third mail item part to a second destination that corresponds to terms in the message.

A conveyor in mechanical communication with a mail item registration station may include a processor for registering a first part of the mail item. Apparatus, methods, media and code for routing a mail item are provided. The apparatus may include a processor device; and machine readable memory. The processor device may be configured to: assign a unique destination identifier to an organizational entity; aggregate into an aggregate documents that were addressed to the entity and received by the entity; and store in the machine readable memory the unique destination identifier and a library that includes unique terms in the aggregate.

Apparatus for electronically notifying an individual of an incomplete transaction associated with a received correspondence item is provided. The apparatus may include a receiver for receiving a single paper correspondence item associated with a first correspondence. The apparatus may include a processor for deriving a digital image from the paper correspondence item. The processor may be configured to determine, based on the derived digital image, whether the correspondence item is a paper check. In response to the determination of the correspondence item as a paper check, the processor may be further configured to use a real-time notification channel to notify the individual of receipt of the paper check. The notification may be based, at least in part, on the identification of the individual. The processor may be further configured to use the real-time notification channel to present at least one option for identification of an account to which the check should be applied.

Apparatus, methods, media and code for applying a mailing label are provided. The apparatus may include a mail receipt conveyor; a mail registration station that is configured to receive from the mail receipt conveyor a mail item that includes on an exterior surface of an envelope a printed message indicating that a customer name appearing on the mail item does not correspond to an address on the mail item; an imaging device that is configured to capture a delivery error segment of the surface; a processor device that is configured to identify an electronic mail address that corresponds to a customer name in the addressee segment of the surface; and a transmitter device that is configured to transmit to the email address an electronic form for electronically receiving a different address.

In an exemplary embodiment, a system includes a memory operable to store a user account identifier associated with a user account and a mobile device identifier associated with a mobile device. The memory is also operable to store a first user credential and a second user credential, the second user credential, wherein the second user credential comprises user input data captured by a sensor. The system includes a network interface operable to receive a request to authenticate a requesting user. The system also includes a processor operable to determine information included in the request to facilitate authentication of the requesting user and whether the information included in the request matches the information associated with the user account. Multilevel authentication

Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses for processing an image that shows multiple deposit items, where the image was captured by a remote capture device. For example, some embodiments provide a method that includes: (a) displaying a grid on a display associated with a remote capture device, where the remote capture device is configured to capture an image that shows multiple deposit items, and where the grid comprises a plurality of grid portions; and (b) prompting a user of the remote capture device to arrange the multiple deposit items, or to position or operate the remote capture device, such that each of the deposit items in the multiple deposit items appears in a single grid portion of the display before the image is captured.

Embodiments of the invention provide for mobile communication-based verification of the validity of negotiable checks. By verifying the validity of checks on a mobile communication device, the systems and methods provide for on-the-fly check verification regardless of where and/or at what time the check-related transaction occurs. The systems and methods validate the check in terms of insuring that the check is not fraudulent and, in some instances, providing certainty to the payee that the requisite funds currently exist in the related checking account. Additionally, the systems and methods provide for an efficient and readily identifiable means of conveying the outcome of the check verification process.

Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for managing the processing of a financial payment and, more specifically managing the processing of a financial payment in a comprehensive payment hub environment that provides for payment processing, including payment route determination, irrespective of the payment input channel. In accordance with embodiments herein disclosed, managing the processing of the payment includes automatically determining the payment processes and automatically determining the arrangement of the payment processes. As such, the methods, systems, and computer program products herein described provide for an efficient and cost-effective approach to processing payments.

Systems, methods and computer program products for managing payment processes in a comprehensive payment hub system

Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for conducting comprehensive payment processing of all payment requests regardless of the payment request channel. Payment requests are transformed from the initial format to a standardized format, which allows for the occurrence of further comprehensive payment processing, referred to herein as payment hub processing. Once the payment request has undergone necessary payment hub processing, the request undergoes further transformation/conversion from the standardized format to a target clearing format. In one embodiment of the invention, the processing hub provides for determining the clearing or remittance channel based on payment routing rules, which may take into account cost, time, risk and any other payment factors.

Systems, methods and computer program products for standardization of payment requests to facilitate comprehensive payment hub processing

An offending item detection system is provided for analyzing and processing documents received at one or more capture sites. A physical document may be electronically captured at a capture site and subsequently transmitted to a regional or central processing system. The processing system may then analyze the captured documents to identify and flag suspected offending items such as duplicates. Suspected offending items may be removed from a processing stream and replaced by a substitute transaction to keep the financial system in balance and to reduce potential for processing backlog. In the meantime, the suspected offending item may be analyzed. If the item is a false positive, the substitute transaction may be canceled and the financial document reinserted into the processing stream. If the suspected item is a true offending item, the substitute transaction may be replaced by or converted into another transaction funded by a general suspense account.

System and method for processing offending items in a financial system

Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses for processing an image that shows multiple deposit items, where the image was captured by a remote capture device. For example, some embodiments provide a method that includes: (a) receiving an image that shows multiple deposit items, where the image was captured by a remote capture device; (b) identifying, based at least partially on the image, deposit item information associated with the multiple deposit items; and/or (c) crediting an account based at least partially on the deposit item information.

The system includes a network interface operable to receive a request to authenticate a requesting user. The system also includes a processor operable to determine information included in the request to facilitate authentication of the requesting user and whether the information included in the request matches the information associated with the user account. The processor is further operable to authenticate the requesting user if the request is associated with the user account and information included in the request matches the information associated with the user account.
