This invention relates to the use of aromatic esters as adjuvants in compositions, particularly for agrochemical use, as well to compositions comprising such an aromatic ester, in combination with at least one agrochemical and at least one surfactant. The invention further extends to methods of making and using such compositions. In particular the present invention relates to such compositions when formulated as, or comprised by, an emulsion concentrate (EC), an emulsion in water (EW), a suspension of particles in water (SC), a microcapsule formulation (CS), a suspension of particles with an emulsion (SE), a dispersion concentrate (DC) or an oil suspension (OD).

Formulation component

The present invention relates to agrochemical compositions comprising certain benzamide compounds and to the use of those benzamide compounds as adjuvants, especially in formulations, in particular in agrochemical formulations and in environmentally friendly formulations. The invention further extends to certain novel benzamide compounds and a process to prepare such novel compounds.

The invention includes aqueous compatibilized pesticidal formulations and methods of making them. In typical embodiments, formulations comprise a first electrolytic pesticide and a second electrolytic pesticide, and about 30 to about 300 g/L of at least one alkyl polyglycoside. The invention also includes methods of preparing pesticidal formulations to increase the concentration of the electrolytic pesticides. The invention also includes storage and transport systems containing formulation embodiments. The invention also includes methods inhibiting pests.

Compatibilized electrolyte formulations

A liquid herbicidal composition containing pinoxaden and an adjuvant, where the adjuvant is a built-in adjuvant consisting of a trisester of phosphoric acid with aliphatic or aromatic alcohols and/or a bis-ester of alkyl phosphonic acids with aliphatic or aromatic alcohols.

An insecticidal composition having as an adjuvant a phosphonate or an alkoxylated derivative or dimer thereof. Preferred phosphonates are bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-2ethylhexylphosphonate, bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-octylphosphonate and bis-(butyl)butylphosphonate.

Phosphonates and derivatives thereof as enhancers of the activity of insecticides

The invention includes an aqueous compatibilized herbicidal formulation. In typical embodiments, formulations comprise a diammonium salt of glyphosate and a sodium salt of fomesafen. The invention also includes storage and transport systems containing formulation embodiments. The invention also includes methods inhibiting unwanted plant growth.

Herbicidal formulations

A fungicidal composition in the form of a liquid concentrate, which, in addition to at least one formulation adjuvant, comprises cyprodinil and an unsaturated C-fatty acid selected from oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid.
