A fascia for a public access terminal is described. The fascia comprises: at least one user interface element on a front portion thereof (such as a customer display or a dispense slot), and a metal plate mounted on a rear portion thereof. The metal plate is dimensioned to close a metal body of the public access terminal so that the combination of the metal plate and the metal body provide a flame retardant public access terminal.

Terminal fascia

A plinth is disclosed for the support of an attached object. The plinth has a fixing portion for embedding into a secure foundation. The plinth also has a base plate for support of the object, through support means, which are arranged to crumple under an impact, without the object becoming detached from the plinth.

Anti-ram raid plinth

A security means comprises a spray tray; a dispenser slot positioned so as to dispense media into the spray tray; and a security cover positioned to cover said spray tray and slot. The cover is arranged so as to cause a sweep member to sweep past the dispenser slot and thus dislodge any foreign body adjacent the slot, when the cover is moved between closed and opened positions.

The invention may be provided in conjunction with conventional visual attention-directing devices, such as LEDs ( ).
