An air treatment unit having a frame and a source of UV light, with the frame having an air guidance assembly. Air within a primary treatment volume is guided by the frame to move radially outwardly from the primary treatment volume through a dispersion angle. Air within the primary treatment volume is exposed to UV light rays from the UV light source. The air treatment unit is changeable between: a) a first state wherein a predetermined part of a volume of space within which the air treatment unit resides is strategically blocked from direct exposure to UV light rays generated by the UV light source; and b) a second state wherein at least a portion of the predetermined part of the volume of space is directly exposed to UV light rays from the UV light source.

Method of treating a space

An air treatment unit has: a frame; a source of UV light; and an air moving assembly that causes air within a space to be directed into a volume that has UV light rays therein from the source of UV light. The air treatment unit has a primary treatment volume. The frame has an air guidance assembly that extends substantially fully around an axis extending through the primary treatment volume and defines at least one elongate opening through which disinfected air is communicated from the primary treatment volume in a pattern substantially fully around the axis to outside of the frame and the air treatment unit in a radial direction within a region of the space outside of the primary treatment volume.

Air treatment unit

A method of treating air passing through an air handling unit having a housing extending around an air handling space and a primary air treatment system that treats air as the air passes through the air handling unit between air inlet and outlet locations on the air handling unit. First and second fixtures are obtained, each having a housing and a UV light source. The first and second fixtures are strategically mounted to the air handling unit so that UV light from each of the UV light sources on the first and second fixtures treats air moving through the air handling unit with the UV light sources on the first and second fixtures energized. The first and second fixtures are serially electrically connected to a power source to thereby cause the UV light sources on the first and second fixtures to be energized through the power source.

Method of treating air passing through an air handling unit

An air treatment unit has: a) a frame; b) a source of UV light that is configured to disinfect air, the frame configured to be mounted in an operative position within a space in which air is to be disinfected, the frame configured to allow air from a duct through which air is forced into the space to be directed in a manner that expelled air from the duct is caused to be disinfected by UV light from the source of UV light with the frame and source of UV light each operatively positioned; and c) an air moving assembly that causes air within the space to be directed into a volume that has UV light rays from the source of UV light therein capable of disinfecting air.

System, device and method for providing screened protection to gutters from clogging debris. Protection is provided by using a panel that includes rain siphoning louvered technology. The louvers may be covered by a filter or screen. If the openings of the louvers are closed to a certain degree, a screen may be dispensed with. The panel is sloped such that debris rolls off a surface of the panel. Additionally, the louvered portion may be domed. The panel ends on one side in a locking mechanism that locks to an outer lip of the gutter and on the other side in a corrugated edge that fits under the overhang of the roof such that it need not be inserted under the shingles.

Gutter-locking gutter protection

A hanger bracket for a rainwater deflector in a gutter system comprises channels for holding heater cables, flanges and ribs to strengthen the bracket against bending, and a ledge that captures and holds the lip of a gutter without fasteners. Tabs on one side of the bracket engage a panel of the rainwater deflector, while a mounting hole on the other side of the bracket enables the bracket to be mounted to the fascia after the panel is affixed.
