Trace transfer techniques can be used to couple touch electrodes to touch sensing circuitry with a reduced border region around a touch sensor panel. Touch electrodes on a first side of the substrate can be routed to a bond pad region on the second side of the substrate via a trace transfer technique to enable single-sided bonding of a double-sided touch sensor panel. Trace transfer techniques can also be used to couple conductive traces on a first side of the substrate to a flex circuit oriented perpendicular to or otherwise not parallel to the first side of the substrate. Orienting the flex circuit in this way can allow the flex circuit to connect to touch circuitry with reduced bending as compared with the amount of bending of the flex circuit when oriented substantially parallel to the substrate.

Trace transfer techniques for touch sensor panels with flex circuits

A preassembled solar panel module includes a solar panel configured for receiving and converting solar radiation to produce electrical power. Multiple panel rails are coupled in preassembly to a backside surface of the solar panel, including at least two panel rails disposed halfway or more along opposing longest edges of the solar panel. Multiple snap connector components are each coupled to one of the at least two rails and are each configured to couple with a complimentary snap connector component of an adjacent preassembled solar panel module or of a wind deflector accessory, or both. One or more mounting feet are each coupled at a selected location to one of the at least two panel rails and are each configured for coupling at a selected location to a roof or to other sunlight receiving surface.

Sensing, interlocking solar panel system and installation method

The disclosure relates to a touch screen including a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a third electrode layer. The touch screen can include shield-sensor vias connecting the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer and shield-shield vias connecting the first electrode layer and the third electrode layer, for example. The shield-sensor vias can be placed in a bond pad region of the touch screen, which can further include connections between one or more routing traces connected to one or more touch electrodes and touch or other circuitry further included in the electronic device. The shield-shield vias can be placed in an outer region located around an inner region of the touch screen. In some examples, one or more routing traces can include diverted portions to maintain a threshold distance between the routing traces and the one or more shield-shield vias.

Multi-via structures for touchscreens

An optical system having an optical waveguide for outputting light, a receiver for receiving the light, and redirecting optics for outputting the light from the optical waveguide. The optical system can be used for light illumination. The optical system can further be used for diffusing light in illumination applications by replacing the receiver with a light source such that the light flows in the reverse of the concentration system.

Redirecting optics for concentration and illumination systems

An optical system having an optical waveguide for collecting light, a receiver for receiving the light, and redirecting optics for transferring the light from the optical waveguide to the receiver. The optical system can be used for concentrating light such as in solar applications. The optical system can also be used for diffusing light in illumination applications by replacing the receiver with a light source such that the light flows in the reverse of the concentration system.

Techniques for linear cell stringing are disclosed. In some embodiments, a plurality of sets of solar cells are linearly positioned, a plurality of tabbing ribbon segments are placed in contact with the plurality of sets of solar cells, and the plurality of sets of solar cells and corresponding plurality of tabbing ribbon segments are soldered together to form a plurality of solar cell strings. In some cases, the plurality of solar cell strings is substantially simultaneously formed in parallel.
