A magnetic hinge defining a hinge axis includes first and second hinge plates of non-magnetic material and first and second magnets disposed therein, respectively, for movement therewith. The plates are generally parallel and independently pivotable about the hinge axis between a closed orientation, wherein the plates are essentially superposed, and an open orientation, wherein the plates are essentially not superposed. The first and second magnets are essentially superposed, generally coaxial with the hinge axis, and in the same magnetic orientation.

A multi-stable magnetic article has plates which are generally juxtaposed and independently transformable in respective parallel planes between a stable closed orientation and a plurality of stable open orientations. The article is useful as a small cosmetic case containing a plurality of cosmetics on a single plate, all cosmetics being covered in the stable closed orientation and a selected one or more cosmetics being exposed in each of the stable open orientations.

A cosmetic container precludes exposure of the cosmetic within the container to the environment outside the container, even during application of the cosmetic, because, as the applicator head is used to apply the cosmetic to an intended wearer, other portions of the applicator preclude exposure of the cosmetic remaining within the container to the environment.

A dispenser for dispensing a preselected amount of liquid includes a base; at least one bellows at least partially disposed in the base and configured and dimensioned to hold a first preselected amount of liquid, and a manually actuable actuator in telescopic relationship with the base for compressing the bellows therebetween and discharging a second preselected amount of liquid from the bellows.

An inclusion candle includes an inner core formed of wax and a wick, an outer annulus formed of wax and an inflammable inclusion and a mesh sleeve disposed Intermediate the core and the annulus. The sleeve defines interstices therethrough, the wax of the core and the wax of the annulus binding together through the interstices of the sleeve. The sleeve is formed of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion compatible with that of the annulus wax to preclude cracking of said annulus during candle formation and candle burning.

A liquid dosage dispenser includes a bottle and a dispenser apparatus supported on the bottle having a housing or sleeve extending into the bottle and a plunger device having a through passageway extending into the housing for longitudinal movement therein. The housing includes an opening through which liquid in the bottle can be drawn into the housing. A helical channel and one or more vertical channels are provided in the housing. The plunger device is rotatable within the housing to permit a follower extending from the plunger device to ride in the helical channel to move the plunger longitudinally in the housing. As the plunger moves upwardly within the housing, a preselected amount of liquid is drawn into the housing. When the follower is positioned in a vertical channel associated with a desired dosage level, the plunger may be forced downwardly to deliver the desired dosage through the passageway and out of the dispenser. Indents are provided along the helical channel at various vertical channel positions. When the follower encounters an indent, it snaps into the indent to indicate that a preselected dosage of liquid is available to be dispensed.

Liquid dosage dispensers

A candle package includes a candle holder having a candle therein. The candle holder includes a container having a closed bottom and an open top. A plastic sheet having a bottom wall and opposing sidewalls with the sidewalls including corresponding cutout regions therein is provided. The bottom of the container is positioned to rest on the bottom wall of the sheet, with the sidewalls of the sheet extending upwardly from the bottom wall to capture the container therebetween, with portions of the container extending through the cutout regions. A cover sheet is positioned on top of the container. The cover sheet and sidewalls include corresponding interengaging devices to releasably lock the cover sheet on top of the container and to the sidewalls of the sheet.

A liquid dosage dispenser includes a bottle and a dispenser apparatus supported on the bottle having a housing extending into the bottle and a plunger device extending into the housing for longitudinal movement therein. The housing includes an opening through which liquid in the bottle can be drawn into the housing, with one of the housing and plunger device including a stop system of predetermined configuration and the other of the housing and plunger device including a follower for contacting the stop system. The plunger is rotatable with respect to the housing to align the follower with a desired portion of the stop system, with the follower and stop system, when aligned, allowing the plunger to be moved longitudinally along the housing until the follower contacts the stop system to draw a predetermined amount of liquid through the opening into the housing. The dispenser is removable from the bottle to allow the predetermined amount of liquid to be dispensed through the opening.

A blister pack includes a frame defining at least one recessed compartment having an open side defining an opening for containing a product therein. A blister material covers the opening to removably seal the product in the compartment. An opener is supported by the frame over the opening with the opener being moveable to break the blister material and to remove the film to expose the product in the compartment for removal.
