An exhaust gas treatment device for a motor vehicle has a housing, which defines an exhaust gas duct through which the exhaust gas flows, and an electric heating device which extends through the exhaust gas duct and through which exhaust gas flows. The electric heating device has a heating component attached to a carrier structure, the heating component being attached to the carrier structure, and first and second electrodes which are attached to the heating device and make electrical contact with the heating device. The first electrode extends as far as into a central region of the heating device, and the second electrode extends as far as into an edge region of the heating device, as viewed in the exhaust gas flow direction in the exhaust gas duct.

Exhaust gas treatment device and vehicle

An exhaust system component of a motor vehicle includes a gas-carrying housing, a heat shield seated on an outside of the housing, and at least one wire mesh provided at least partly between the heat shield and the housing. The wire mesh includes a first attachment point and a second attachment point. The heat shield is attached to the housing via the wire mesh, and the wire mesh is attached to both the heat shield, via the first attachment point, and to the housing via the second attachment point. The first attachment point is separate from the second attachment point.

A modular system for exhaust heat recovery devices has heat exchangers which differ by different external dimensions, in particular different cross-sections, and identically configured exhaust gas carrying housings into each of which one of the heat exchangers can be introduced. Various tubular adapters are adapted to the external dimensions of the heat exchangers and are used to fasten the associated heat exchanger at its connection ends to the exhaust gas carrying housing. Furthermore, a tubular adapter for a corresponding modular system and a vehicle which has a corresponding exhaust heat recovery device are provided.
