A root portion of a root-analog dental implant may include a core positioned in an approximate center of the root portion of the dental implant. The core may provide mechanical strength and/or support for the dental implant and may include one or more struts. The root-analog dental implant may further include a porous surface positioned on a portion of a vertically oriented exterior surface of the core. The struts may be configured and arranged to provide mechanical strength and/or support for the root-analog dental implant.

Fluoroscopic imaging of a patient's heart is performed by positioning a patient in a sterile field and imaging the heart using a x-ray fluoroscopy system within the sterile to produce a two-dimensional image. The two-dimensional image is simultaneously displayed on an operative display within or adjacent the sterile filed and on a display of a remote image processor outside the operative field. The two-dimensional image of the remote display is manually marked or annotated to show anatomical or treatment information which is simultaneously shown on the operative display.

Apparatus and methods for delivering stents and other prostheses to body lumens include a prosthesis forming and deploying mechanism carried at the distal end of a catheter shaft. Apparatus for delivering stents to body lumens include a flexible catheter shaft, an expandable member, a tubular prosthesis selectively movable in an axial direction over the expandable member, and a stop member disposed on the catheter shaft near the distal end of the catheter shaft for stopping the prosthesis at a deployment position on the expandable member. A variety of different stop members are provided according to various embodiments, such as stop members disposed outside the expandable member, stop members disposed inside the expandable member, movable stop members, and the like. Methods of delivering stents are also provided.

Apparatus and methods for positioning prostheses for deployment from a catheter

A stent delivery system for delivering a plurality of stent segments to at least one treatment site includes a catheter shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a plurality of expandable members arranged axially along the catheter shaft near the distal end, a plurality of stent segments, and a selecting mechanism adapted for selecting one or more expandable members for expansion. Each expandable member is expandable independently of at least one other expandable member, and each expandable member has at least one stent segment positioned on it. One or more of the expandable members may be selectively expanded to deploy the one or more stent segments positioned thereon at the treatment site.
