A hanger is provided for mounting a curtain rod, such as a shower curtain tension rod, on a display. The hanger includes a body and a resilient collar, pivotally connected to the body, for engaging the rod in a 'snap-fit' fashion. The body has a first opening adapted to receive the curtain rod end and a second opening adapted to be engaged by a prong of the display, to mount the curtain rod on the display. The curtain rod end may include a part, such as a finial, with an exterior surface having a contour. The first opening has a shape substantially corresponding to that contour. The second opening preferably includes three recesses such that conventional single prong and double prong displays can be accommodated.

A suction cup is mounted to each end of the tension rod by a mounting part. The mounting part has a body with a cylindrical recess to receive the rod end and a circular end part with a planar end surface with an opening. The enlarged hemispherical head portion of the suction cup is received in the opening such that the cup portion of the suction cup is proximate the end surface.

The header is heat sealed along the top of one side of the liner body with both ends extending beyond the edges of the liner body. The ends of the header are folded around the edges of the liner body to a position parallel to the other side of the liner and heat sealed. Grommets are mounted through the liner and header portions such that the hook receiving openings at the corners of the liner are re-enforced.

The hook has a molded plastic body including a rod engaging part formed of arcuate sections with roller bearing receiving cavities. Means for joining the sections are provided. The hook is assembled by placing the roller bearings in the cavities in one of the sections. The sections are then aligned and joined together. The hook body also includes a curtain receiving part, integral with one of the rod engaging part sections. The curtain receiving part includes oppositely inclined portions. The portions meet at a point along the vertical axis of the hook.

A plurality of fasteners are arranged along opposite edges of the shower curtain. Each fastener includes a mounting strip with a body portion which carries a pair of integral suction cups. The strip is heat sealed to the curtain material. In particular, a peripheral edge, thinner than the body portion, is formed during the heat sealing process. A passage or opening through the body portion acts as a guide during the heat sealing process and permits air trapped during sealing or water trapped during use to escape from behind the mounting strip.
