A paint tray liner bag can fully encapsulate a rigid paint tray and fully form to the shape of the rigid paint tray. The paint tray liner bag includes a bag flap that folds over to the bottom of the rigid paint tray and has holes to receive the legs of the rigid paint tray, thereby securing the paint tray liner bag on the rigid paint tray. Unlike rigid paint trays, that do not fit well into sinks and have ridges that can be difficult to clean, the paint tray liner bag can be removed from the rigid paint tray and easily cleaned due to its smooth surface and flexibility to fit into a user's sink.

Re-usable paint tray liner bag

A modular container for stackably storing and transporting multiple circular saw blades. The container includes multiple storage trays wherein each storage tray is able to hold one or more circular saw blades of varying diameters. The storage trays have graduating annular raised surfaces to hold saw blades securely in place during transport thereby preventing injury to the transporter and protecting the cutting teeth of the circular saw blades from being damaged due to movement within the storage container. Each storage tray horizontally pivots open to allow the user easy access to the circular saw blades stored therein.

Container for storing multiple saw blades

A container for storing and transporting multiple circular saw blades. This invention provides for a circular, portable, carrying case to safely and conveniently store and transport circular saw blades. The invention has several circular trays and each tray had an insert that houses and securely segregates the circular saw blades. The tray and insert feature protects the user from being injured by the saw blades and ensures that the blades do not become dull due to their moving around in the around in the storage container. The invention provides that each circular tray rotates and swings open to allow the user easy access to the saw blades contained inside the storage container. There is a pen that extends through each tray and the pen provides a means for the pivoting action, rotating and swinging action of each circular tray. Each tray has a latching mechanism that secures the tray in place so that the tray does not inadvertently swing open. A carrying handle is located on top of the storage container, and it provides a method by which the invention can be transported by the user.

This invention makes possible substantially continuous flow of uniformly distributed hydrogen and hydrocarbon liquid across a densely packed catalyst bed to fill substantially the entire volume of a reactor vessel by introducing the fluids as alternate annular rings of gas and liquid (i.e. a mixture of liquid hydrocarbon and a hydrogen-containing gas) at a rate insufficient to levitate or ebullate the catalyst bed. Catalyst are selected by density, shape and size at a design feed rate of liquids and gas to prevent ebullation of the packed bed at the design feed rates. Catalysts are selected by measuring bed expansion, such as in a large pilot plant run, with hydrocarbon, hydrogen, and catalyst at the design pressures and flow velocities. The liquid and gas components of the feed flow into the bed in alternate annular rings across the full area of the bed. At the desired flow rate, such catalyst continually flows in a plug-like manner downwardly through the reactor vessel by introducing fresh catalyst at the top of the catalyst bed by laminarly flowing such catalyst in a liquid stream on a periodic or semicontinuous basis. Catalyst is similarly removed by laminarly flowing catalyst particles in a liquid stream out of the bottom of the catalyst bed. Intake for such flow is out of direct contact with the stream of gas flowing through the bed and the flow path is substantially constant in cross-sectional area and greater in diameter by several times than the diameter of the catalyst particles. The catalyst of this invention produces a plug-flowing substantially packed bed of hydroprocessing catalyst which occupies at least about 75% by volume of the reactor volume.

A ski carrier has a strap with opposite end portions having overlapping ends formed into eyelets. Separable segments are brought through the eyelets to form ski carrying loops at toe and heel ends of outwardly facing bindings of skis aligned in tandem, back-to-back positions. After forming loops, segments are joined by mating male and female elements of a snapping fastener. Ski poles are brought through an opening of a tie loop attached to one element, and a spring-loaded barrel lock closes loop about the poles. Skis are carried by lifting carrier with the hand around fastener and poles. The lifting causes loops to self-tighten about the skis against the outward bias of the ski camber.

Ski carrier and method employing same

On-stream catalyst replacement hydroprocessing method wherein an upstream mixture of hydrogen and hydrocarbon liquid counter flows through a downwardly moving bed of hydroprocessing catalyst in a reactor vessel. The mixed feed stream of hydrogen and liquid hydrocarbon components enters a surge zone between the lower end of the reactor and a plenum zone to form a common pool under a conical support for the lower end of the downflowing catalyst bed. The mixed feed enters the plenum chamber through a plurality of passageways extending downwardly from the plenum zone to the same depth adjacent the lower end of the surge zone so that the liquid component normally prevents hydrogen from establishing independent paths before entering the plenum zone. Separation of the hydrogen and hydrocarbon liquid components from the mixed feed is thus assured to occur in the plenum zone directly below the pervious conical support to form a plurality of stepped concentric local reservoir rings under the conical support. Such rings are spaced apart sufficiently to create adjacent and alternate separate feed rings of hydrogen and hydrocarbon liquid. The depth of the lower end of each ring is intermediate the depth of the two radially adjacent concentric rings to maintain uniform feed of hydrogen and hydrocarbon liquid across the full cross-sectional area of the downflowing catalyst particles.

Method of hydroprocessing

On-stream catalyst replacement apparatus for countercurrent upstream flow of a gas and hydrocarbon liquid through a downward moving catalyst bed in a reactor vessel. A mixed feed stream of gas and liquid hydrocarbon components enters a reservoir formed between the lower end of the reactor and a conical screen supporting the lower end of a catalyst bed. A wall across the vessel divides the reservoir into a lower surge chamber for receiving the mixed feed and an upper plenum chamber for separating the components into alternate feed rings of gas and hydrocarbon liquid under the conical screen. The mixed feed enters the plenum chamber through a plurality of tubes extending downwardly from the wall to the same depth in the surge chamber that prevents establishing preferential paths for gas to independently enter the plenum chamber. Excessive separation of the gas and liquid components from the mixed feed in the plenum chamber is prevented by use of a plurality of concentric baffles abutting the underside of the conical screen and which are closely spaced apart only sufficient to create adjacent and alternate feed rings of gas and liquid. The depth of the lower end of each baffle is intermediate the depth of the two radially adjacent concentric baffles. Catalyst is continuously or periodically added to, or removed from, the vessel through tubing and a full-bore valve having uniform diameters throughout their lengths to maintain laminar flow of catalyst to or from a pressurizable hopper vessel.

A uniform feed distribution system for selectively upgrading a feed stream of hydrocarbon fluid containing metallic components, such as organometallic compounds, and/or inert materials, which deactivate or contaminate catalyst particles counterflows into a descending bed of catalyst particles. The heated feed stream is at temperatures and pressures so that lighter hydrocarbon components or hydrogen evolve as gas components as it is introduced into the reaction vessel. The evolved gas is separated into reservoir or pocket above a reservoir of liquid components and both components are then uniformly and selectively introduced into the downflowing bed of catalyst. By forming a common supply volume of gaseous and liquid components, the gas components are independently accessible to the lower end of the moving bed of catalyst particles through an inclined distribution surface preferably in the form of a cone. The cone is supported in the lower portion of the vesel to form a catalyst collection bin for removal of spent catalyst from the bed. Gas distribution to the bottom of the inclined surface is through a plurality of holes formed at different elevations, but proportioned so that gas flow into the bed is substantially uniform, or a known pattern, independent of hole elevation or the elevation of liquid feed tubes through the inclined surface.

Hydrocarbon processing of gas containing feed in a countercurrent moving

Methods and apparatus for controlling the flow of solids in systems containing solid/fluid slurries is disclosed. An L-valve, having subsequent thereto a separator for separating the solid and fluid phases of the slurry, and a way to regulate the flow of the separated fluid permits the opening and closing of the L-valve without the necessity of mechanical valving systems in contact with the solid phase. A novel L-valve design comprising a radial barrier above a vertical outlet which barrier is of sufficient dimension to permit the solids to attain their angle of repose before reaching the outlet is also disclosed.

The flow through the L-valves is controlled by the control of the flow of separated fluid and the replacement and withdrawal functions are configured so as to permit removal of the solids from the system and addition of fresh material. Control of the fluid flow by means of exerting or controlling pressure on the gas phase in association with it.
