Display stand

A product display stand for reducing displayed product movement can be used in a retail environment to reduce movement of a product displayed by the product display stand. Such product display stand includes a damping assembly configured to attach to a display platform. The damping assembly includes a housing configured to attach to the display platform. The housing defines a damping chamber. The assembly also includes within the chamber a damping flange and damping material. The product display stand also includes a display post fixed to the damping flange. The display post extends above the display platform and to retain and display a product.

A multipole permanent magnet may be provided with a magnetic-field shunt. The multipole permanent magnet may be formed from compression-molded magnetic particles such as magnetically anisotropic rare-earth particles in an elastomeric polymer. The magnetic-field shunt may be formed from magnetic members in a polymer binder that are separated by gaps to allow the shunt to flex or from magnetic particles in a polymer binder. The magnetic particles in the polymer binder may be ferrite particles or other magnetic particles. The polymer binder may be formed from an elastomeric material and may be integral with the elastomeric polymer of the multipole permanent magnet or separated from the elastomeric polymer of the multipole permanent magnet by a polymer separator layer. Conductive particles may be formed in polymer such as the elastomeric polymer with the magnetic particles. The conductive particles may be configured to form electrical connector contacts and other signal paths.

Solid-state deposition of materials and structures formed thereof are described. In particular embodiments, solid-state deposition of materials may be utilized for integrated magnetic assemblies. The integrated magnetic assemblies may include a substrate having a cavity that is physically isolated from an environment external from the substrate and a magnetizable magnetic element formed of particles of magnetizable material. The magnetizable magnetic element may be carried within the cavity such that the magnetizable magnetic element fills the cavity and takes on a size and a shape of the cavity.

Some embodiments can include a retention mechanism having a first component including a first clasping surface and a first magnet having a first polarity as well as a second component having a second clasping surface configured to be alignable to and to coordinate with the first clasping surface. The second component can have a magnetic assembly having an effective polarity that varies in accordance with a electric current pulse received at the magnetic assembly, where a magnetic circuit is formed between the first magnet and the magnetic assembly, and where when the effective polarity of the magnetic assembly is the first polarity, the magnetic circuit is repulsive causing the first and second clasping surfaces to separate otherwise, the magnetic circuit is attractive causing the clasping surfaces to come together.

Magnetically actuated restraining mechanisms

A wearable device is coupled to a band including multiple modular functional band links that are each electrically and mechanically connected to one or more other of the band links and/or the wearable device and include one or more electronic components. In various implementations, the wearable device may receive identifiers from each of the band links, determine functionality available using the identifiers, and communicate with the band links to utilize the determine functionality. In some implementations, the band links may include multiple different output devices and the wearable device may determine to provide an output pattern and signal the respective output devices according to the output pattern. In various implementations, the band links may include multiple different input devices and the wearable device may receive input indications from the input devices and perform an action based on a pattern in which the input indications were detected by the respective input devices.

Display cases are designed to be mounted on at least one vertical support, such as a wall, pillar, or series of poles. The display cases include a display drawer that has a closed position within the display case and an open position beneath the display case. The display cases can be single sided, having a display drawer only on its front side, or double sided, having a first display drawer on its front side and a second display drawer on its rear side.

The first experience zone includes the front fa&#xe7;ade of the retail store and at least one window display case displaying merchandise that can be viewed through the front window. The second experience zone includes an interactive display that provides product information to consumers. The third experience zone includes at least one merchandise display area and at least one merchandise handling area. The fourth experience zone includes a plurality of interaction areas in which consumers can interact with store employees. A veil wall can be used to separate one or more of the experience zones.
