In one embodiment, a monitoring process modifies a class definition of an object of a monitored process to include an injected field. The monitoring process may then execute a first interception point of the monitored process, and sets, at the first interception point, the injected field to a given value. Upon executing a second interception point of the monitored process, the monitoring process can then read, at the second interception point, the given value in the injected field, and can use the given value at the second interception point for a corresponding correlation operation between the first interception point and the second interception point.

In-process correlation through class field injection

A system implements code trampolining techniques by generating custom trampoline functions, compiling the functions, and executing the compiled functions directly from a library when the corresponding native function is called. The native functions may be binary functions, such as functions in C++ code, or other languages. A code generator may read a set of functions to be implemented and generate code, such as binary code, for the destination function. In doing so, the code generator may generate code which matches the source function signature. The generated code may then be compiled into a shared library which is loaded by the process being instrumented. When the library is initiated upon subsequent calls for the native function, the trampoline mechanisms will be set up between the source function and the generated destination function to operate seamlessly with matching signatures.

Dynamic configuration of native functions to intercept

The naming system allows for user readable names which are more than just numbers or indexes. The naming system is configured from a single location rather than from multiple locations, making it much easier to configure, change and update.

During the elaboration and synthesis of a circuit design, a parse tree generally must be fully expanded to access memory resources and data of individual module instances in order to perform optimizations that will result in better runtime performance of generated simulation code. The present invention reduces memory requirements in generating simulation or emulation executable code by implementing a collapsed parse tree, where multiple instances of a module in a HDL design are represented by a single representative node in the parse tree.

A method implemented in a computer system for determining an advertisement in response to an advertising opportunity, wherein the advertising opportunity is an opportunity to place the advertisement on a web page subsequent to a request for the web page by a browser. The computer system receives an indication of the advertising opportunity, and in response to receiving the indication, the computer system determines bids, wherein each bid is associated with an advertisement, selects one of the bids and places the advertisement associated with the selected bid on the web page.
