A derivative work is encrypted using master keys generated from source data extracted from digital sources used to create the derivative work. A software application permits a mix artist to encrypt and stream a derivative work to a worldwide web server, where it is made available to consumers. A software application permits the consumers to acquire and decrypt an encrypted derivative work if the consumer has possession of a corresponding digital source for each of the digital sources used to encrypt the derivative work.

System and method of generating encryption/decryption keys and encrypting/decrypting a derivative work

A derivative work is encrypted using a cipher created from digital sources used to create the derivative work. A software application made available for download permits a mix artist to generate a derivative-encrypted work from a derivative work that the mix artist has created using one or more of the digital sources. The derivative-encrypted work is streamed to a worldwide web server, where it is made available for download by consumers for a fee. The software application is also available for download by the consumers and permits the consumers to purchase and download any available derivative-encrypted work. However, the derivative-encrypted works can only be decrypted if the consumer has possession of a digital source for each of the source art works associated with the digital sources used to create the derivative work.

A method and system for detecting change to a record in a file stored on an electronic token involves storing a change detection code (CDC) so that a change detection applet can calculate a current CDC for corresponding record(s), and compare the current CDC with the stored CDC to determine if data has changed. A method is provided for forming a crystalline perovskite phase of a ferroelectric dielectric material by a process of depositing a layer of amorphous ferroelectric precursor material and then annealing in an oxygen containing atmosphere in the presence of water vapor, preferably with the addition of a few percent of ozone and at a temperature of less than 500.degree. C. Advantageously, the method provides for formation of a ferroelectric material comprising lead zirconate titanate, with low film stress, high dielectric constant and low leakage current. The reduced thermal budget allows for increase flexibility in integration of ferroelectric materials, e.g. after a step of deposition of low melting point metal or metal alloy.

A method is provided for forming a conductive layer of ruthenium oxide layer RuO.sub.2. The RuO.sub.2 layer is formed from a coating of a precursor solution comprising a ruthenium (III) nitrosyl salt,subsequent heat treatment, and annealing at low temperature. The resulting layer of a tetragonal phase of crystalline ruthenium oxide is suitable for formation thereon of a perovskite structure ferroelectric material for applications in ferroelectric non-volatile memory cells. The chloride free process is compatible with processing for submicron device structures for bipolar, CMOS or bipolar CMOS integrated circuits.
