A chemical agent detector with a a lesser demand sensor, a greater demand sensor, an inlet; and a manifold; and methods associated therewith. The manifold is positioned between the inlet and the sensors, and includes a first intake associated with the lesser demand sensor, a second intake associated with a greater demand sensor, and at least one restrictor. The first intake is placed closer to the inlet than the second intake, and the second intake is isolated from the inlet by at least one restrictor within the manifold. The intakes and restrictor are sized and positioned such that the ratio between: the conductance of the path from the inlet to the greater demand sensor to the conductance of the path between the sensors effectively isolates the lesser demand sensor from the effects of the greater demand sensor.

Chemical agent detection

A chemical agent detector with a lesser demand sensor, a greater demand sensor, an inlet; and a manifold; and methods associated therewith. The manifold is positioned between the inlet and the sensors, and includes a first intake associated with the lesser demand sensor, a second intake associated with a greater demand sensor, and at least one restrictor. The first intake is placed closer to the inlet than the second intake, and the second intake is isolated from the inlet by at least one restrictor within the manifold. The intakes and restrictor are sized and positioned such that the ratio between: the conductance of the path from the inlet to the greater demand sensor to the conductance of the path between the sensors effectively isolates the lesser demand sensor from the effects of the greater demand sensor.

The present invention provides a substantially purified nucleic acid molecule encoding a p/CIP polypeptide, which regulates the activity of CBP/p300-dependent transcription factors. The invention also provides a substantially purified p-CIP polypeptide and active fragments thereof. In addition, the invention provides methods of identifying an effective agent that alters the association of a p/CIP polypeptide with a second protein. Further provided herein are methods of selectively inhibiting signal transduction pathways using an active fragment of a p/CIP polypeptide or a nucleic acid molecule encoding such an acive fragment.

Transcription factor coactivator protein, p/CIP

The present invention provides a substantially purified nucleic acid molecule encoding p/CIP, which regulates the activity of CBP/p300 dependent transcription factors. The invention also provides substantially purified p/CIP and peptide portions of p/CIP. The invention also provides methods of selectively inhibiting signal transduction pathways using a peptide portion of p/CIP or a nucleic acid molecule encoding such a peptide portion.

A flying height tester that can vary an air pressure and measure an air bearing height between a slider and a substrate. The substrate is located within a chamber that has an air pressure. The tester includes a loader which places a slider adjacent to the substrate. An optical system computes the air bearing height from a light beam that is directed through the substrate and reflected off of the slider. The chamber is coupled to a pressure control system that can vary the pressure of the air surrounding the slider. The pressure control system varies the pressure to simulate slider operation at various altitudes. The tester of the present invention can thus measure air bearing height while simulating various altitude conditions.
