A gas turbine engine includes a compressor section, a turbine section and an intermediate combustor. The compressor section has a plurality of rotating compressor blades rotating about an axis of rotation, and static stator vanes positioned axially intermediate the rotating compressor blades. There are a plurality of bleed holes extending through a compressor outer housing positioned radially outwardly of the rotating compressor blades, and allowing air compressed by the compressor blades to move into a bleed chamber. There is a bleed chamber outer housing positioned radially outwardly of the compressor outer housing, and defining the bleed chamber in part in combination with the compressor outer housing. A flow discourager is positioned radially intermediate the bleed holes and the bleed outer housing, such that air leaving the bleed hole impacts upon the flow discourager before reaching the bleed chamber outer housing.

A seal assembly includes a seal arc segment defining first and second seal supports with a carriage defining first and second support members. The first support member supports the seal arc segment in a first ramped interface, and the second support member supports the seal arc segment in a second ramped interface. A spring is configured to bias the seal arc segment axially. A heat shield is radially inward of the spring.

A support ring for a gas turbine engine includes a main body portion extending circumferentially about a center axis, a radially extending portion extending radially inward from the main body portion and having a plurality of openings, and a plurality of anti-rotation tabs extending radially inward from the main body portion and axially spaced from the radially extending portion.

Aspects of the disclosure are directed to an active clearance control system for an engine of an aircraft, comprising: a collector that is configured to receive a cooling fluid, at least two manifolds coupled to the collector, where a first of the manifolds is configured to receive at least a first portion of the cooling fluid from the collector and a second of the manifolds is configured to receive at least a second portion of the cooling fluid from the collector, and an insert coupled to the collector and the manifolds, where the insert is configured to seal an interface between the collector and the at least two manifolds over an operating range of the engine.

A blades outer air seal includes a seal arc segment that defines radially inner and outer sides. The radially outer side includes radially-extending sidewalls and a radially inner surface that joins the radially-extending sidewalls. The radially-extending sidewalls and the radially inner surface define a pocket. A manifold is disposed at least partially in the pocket. The manifold subdivides the pocket such that there is a manifold chamber bounded by the manifold and the radially inner surface. The manifold includes at least one inlet and a plurality of outlets.

The trench may be configured to at least partially define a flow path by which cooling air may reach a distal surface of the disk lug in order to provide disk lug cooling.

A retaining ring for a turbomachine disk and coverplate assembly includes a ring body defining a coverplate interface side and an opposed disk lip interface side. A flow feature is defined by the ring body on the coverplate interface side to allow airflow between the turbomachine disk coverplate and the ring body such that a pocket defined between the coverplate and the turbomachine disk is in fluid communication with a conditioning flow pathway through the retaining ring.
