A submersible current sensor for sensing a current in a submerged conductor includes: a split core current transformer constructed to generate an output representative of the current carried by the conductor, the split core having a first core member, a first winding disposed about at least a portion of the first core member; a second core member; and a second winding disposed about at least a portion of the second core member; and a housing, the housing including: a first housing member constructed to house the first core member and the first winding; and a second housing member constructed to house the second core member and the second winding.

A power harvesting device is provided that may supply low voltage power to operate devices in remote locations. The power harvesting device may be connected to a medium to high voltage power line. First and second capacitors divide the voltage to a lower voltage sufficient to power a device, such as a monitoring device. The power harvesting device and monitoring device may be connected to an electric tower with the power harvesting device being connected to a power line supported by the tower.

A voltage measurement device includes an insulating body, for the use in medium- or high-voltage equipment or switchgears The insulating body includes an impedance divider having at least one high voltage impedance and at least one low voltage impedance in series, and with shielding electrodes. In order to optimize the circuit design for voltage measurement design in a given application and prevent the risk of malfunction when the same device it is used in multiple applications or at severe environmental or operating conditions, the device includes at least one high-voltage shielding electrode and/or at least one low-voltage shielding electrode which dimensions together establish a physical length of the impedance divider. The shielding electrodes surround the high and/or low voltage impedances, which provide a specified voltage division ratio and which are located inside or outside of the insulating body. An output of the impedance divider is connected to a shielded cable.

The sensing device can include a first voltage sensing part, a second voltage sensing part and a current sensing part all arranged in a same common single housing separated, from the switching device, in a way that an output wire from the first voltage sensing part, for sensing voltage at an upper terminal of the switching device, is located close to the current sensing part, the output wire being applied with an insulating cover, and mechanically fixed to the current sensor part, and/or the output wire being implemented in an isolation body, and only located near to the current sensing part.
