Apparatus and methods are provided for supporting one or more structural members for installation onto a vehicle structure. A clamp may include two or more curved portions joined by a living hinge. The living hinge may enable the curved portions to pivot relative to one another, providing the clamp with an open position and a closed position. The curved portions may include respective track portions, with the first and second track portions being approximately collinear when the clamp is in the closed position. An elongated rigid latch defines an elongated channel for receiving these respective track portions to provide a rigid structural link between the first and second curved portions. A mounting point is attached to the first or the second curved portion, with the mounting point being adapted to receive the structural members.

A relay socket may include an opening for insertion of a relay into the opening, and a plurality of integral locking members for attaching and locking the relay socket to at least one of a structure surface and a relay without the use of attachment hardware.

Quick-mount relay apparatus and method of installation

A connector pad is provided having a base, a top opposite the base, and tapered sidewalls therebetween. The tapering minimizes stress concentrations when the connector pad is bonded into, or on the surface of a structure. The connector pad consists of a plurality of structural load carrying plies suitable for sandwiching a flat structurally integrated wiring array therebetween. A plurality of plated through holes formed in the connector pad enable access to the wiring array therein.

Connector interface pad for structurally integrated wiring

A pin connector is provided including a housing having a central orifice and an annular skirt laterally projecting therefrom. The skirt is bondable over a structurally integrated pad with integral wiring array. An array of compliant pins are insertable within holes in the pad. A pin retainer is disposed within the central orifice and includes an array of through holes formed therethrough. The array of compliant pins is disposed within the through holes of the pin retainer. The central orifice is adapted to receive a mating connector such that an array of contacts associated with the mating connector insert within the through holes of the pin retainer to make electrical contact with the array of compliant pins in the pin connector.

A connector assembly mounted on a printed wiring board allowing modifications to be made to the connectivity using simple wiring techniques. The connector assembly contains special contacts providing three connections. One end of the contact mates with the source or destination of the signals in a modular electronic device. The other end accepts a wired contact for making additional connections not contained in the printed wiring board. The middle section of the contact makes a compliant connection to the printed wiring board. A signal can be disconnected from the printed wiring board by removing the contact and replacing it with a contact that is insulated from the printed wiring board.
