The choral riser of the present invention is adapted to be supported on a stage surface. The choral riser has a base that presents two spaced apart base supports, each of the base support having a first and a second spaced apart pivot point. A first step member has a step pivot point and a base pivot point that is operably pivotally coupled at the base pivot point to the base at the base first pivot point and has at least one step presented thereon. A second step member has a step pivot point and a link pivot point that is operably pivotally coupled at the step pivot point to the first step member at the first step member step pivot point and has a plurality of steps presented thereon. A bar link member is operably pivotally coupled at a first end pivot point to the second step member bar link pivot point. The bar link member is operably pivotally coupled at a second end pivot point to the base second pivot point. The first and second step members are pivotable between a stowed configuration, with at least one of the steps of the first step member facing at least one of the steps of the second step member, and an operational configuration in which the steps of the first and second step members present an ascending succession of steps. The steps are readily reversible to change the stage presentation form.

Portable riser

A lightweight, durable music. The stand includes a base, telescoping upright support assembly, and rack, all formed from a durable, lightweight synthetic resin. The rack includes a matrix of support ribs that provide the rack with exceptional durability in a lightweight structure. The rack includes a bracket receiving structure and a recess for receiving batons, writing instruments and the like in noninterfering relationship with the documents held by the rack. The base includes a plurality of central weights to lower the center of gravity of the stand, such that the stand is provided with excellent stability from a compact footprint.

An improved collapsible stage panel assembly having a base, a vertical panel rigidly attached to the base, an intermediate panel pivotally connected to the top of the rigid vertical panel, a canopy panel pivotally connected to the intermediate panel and a kicker panel pivotally connected to the bottom of the rigid vertical panel. The stage panel assembly has a mechanical assisting device between the rigid vertical panel and the intermediate panel to provide a counter balancing force against the combined weights of the intermediate and canopy panels. A second mechanical assisting device extends between the intermediate panel and the canopy panel to provide a counter balancing force against the weight of the canopy panel. An automatic locking device provides for the locking of the intermediate panel in its extended position relative to the rigid vertical panel when the intermediate panel is placed in its extended position. The improved panel assembly allows for easier conversion between the extended configuration of the panel assembly suitable for combination with other such assemblies to form an acoustic reflecting shell and the folded storage configuration where the panels can be nested together for storage in a minimum of space.

Portable acoustic shell

A portable stepped riser unit for supporting persons or items above a floor, a stage or the like is provided. The riser unit is foldable for transport and storage. It includes a generally tubular support frame, a plurality of platforms for forming the steps removably mounted on the support frame, and a lockable telescoping brace assembly associated with the support frame. The brace assembly includes a foot operated lock, whereby a single operator may fold, move and erect the riser unit.

A storage cart for music stands having a column member extending upwardly from a base with a plurality of legs radiating from the base. The cart has upper and lower pairs of spaced-apart rods which are inclined along their length and which define an upright storage plane for one or more music stands with a stand column member positioned between the upper pair of rods and one of the legs of the stand extending downwardly between the lower pair of rods and with the pairs of rods having structure to cause the lowermost stand to maintain a generally upright storage position in the cart and with successive stands also being stored in generally upright position and along an incline.

A portable shell of a lightweight construction usable as a room divider, display panel, or acoustical or visual enclosure detachably connectable to the framework for mounting in either a support position or a storage position. The leg structure includes a pair of legs each having a pivotally-mounted foot movable between an operative position or a storage position. Additionally, the shell has a canopy panel hinged to one end thereof for extending the height of the shell and the legs can be attached at different positions on the framework for providing different effective shell heights.

A conductor's chair, podium and stand wherein a podium has a flat standing area at a relatively low level and both the chair and stand have a plurality of generally horizontally-extending legs with certain of the legs having a greater length to underlie and balance the off-center weight of the chair and stand, respectively, and with the longer legs being positionable under the podium to bring the chair and stand relatively close together and with minimal leg exposure beyond the perimeter of the podium. The chair and stand are of separable parts with interengaging sections which may be assembled in only one relation to assure stability in use.

A portable riser having a plurality of steps which have a travel position in superimposed relation with structure for rolling the riser along the floor, hinge means interconnecting the steps whereby they may be folded out of superimposed relation, a pair of sliders pivotally associated with each step and which are hinged to sliders of an adjacent step by said hinge means whereby lifting of one step causes erection of the riser to an erected position, and latch means automatically operable to prevent movement of the steps beyond erected position and to lock the riser in erected position for use.
