Apparatus and methods for use in water processing include housing sections that house in their interiors water treating membranes, the respective interiors being separate from one another. A distributor chamber for containing a flow of water to be treated conveys water to be treated from a feed inlet and distributes the water to be treated into the interiors of the housing sections. A collector chamber for collecting treated water from the interiors of the housing sections is provided to communicate a merged flow of the treated water to an extraction outlet. The device may be employed in subsea systems or in a topside water processing system.

A method and a device () for destruction of organic material in injection water for an injection well (), in which a means () for introduction of water in the injection well (), and at least one electrochemical cell () with associated operating means are used for in situ electrolytic generation from water of at least short-lived, free hydroxyl radicals. The distinctive characteristic of the invention is that it comprises the following steps: (A) to connect the at least one electrochemical cell () to the injection well (); and (B) by means of said operating means, to conduct the injection water through said cell () for in situ generation of at least free hydroxyl radicals from the injection water, insofar as free hydroxyl radicals immediately destruct organic material that they engage in the injection water. The invention also comprises use of water, which is to be injected into an injection well (), as a source material for in situ electrolytic generation of said hydroxyl radicals for immediately destruction of organic material in the injection water.

A method and device for separating particles from injection water, the injection water being used for the stimulation of a petroleum reservoir. The water is drawn from a water reservoir, cleaned and typically treated by means of additives before being led into the petroleum reservoir. The injection water is first led into a closed space (), in which the flow rate is sufficiently low for undesired particles to precipitate from the injection water.
