An IC-TROSA optical network system includes an IC-TROSA device that is included in a coherent optical transmitter device on a transmitter device and that is coupled to at least one optical network to couple the transmitter device to at least one receiver device. The IC-TROSA device includes a quadrature optical modulator subsystem having a first optical directional coupler device with a first transmit connection that receives first optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits the first optical signals via the first transmit connection to the at least one receiver device via the at least one optical network, and with a second transmit connection that receives second optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits the second optical signals via the second transmit connection to the at least one receiver device via the at least one optical network.

IC-TROSA optical network system

An IC-TROSA optical network system includes at least one optical network coupled to subscriber device(s) and a hub device. The hub device includes a hub coherent optical transceiver device with a hub IC-TROSA device that couples the hub device to the subscriber device(s) via the optical network(s). The hub IC-TROSA device includes an optical hybrid mixer subsystem, a first receive connection that receives first optical signals from the subscriber device(s) via the optical network(s) and provides them to the optical hybrid mixer subsystem, and a second receive connection that receives second optical signals from the subscriber device(s) via the optical network(s) and provides them to the optical hybrid mixer subsystem. The optical hybrid mixer subsystem mixes the first and second optical signals and provides mixing results for conversion to first and second electrical signals that are then transmitted to a hub signal processing subsystem.

An electronic equipment chassis comprises a chassis housing and two or more cooling compartments in the chassis housing. At least a first one of the two or more cooling compartments in the chassis housing utilizes a first type of cooling for a first set of electronic equipment housed therein, and at least a second one of the two or more cooling compartments in the chassis housing utilizes a second type of cooling for a second set of electronic equipment housed therein. The first type of cooling comprises liquid immersion cooling and the second type of cooling comprises non-liquid immersion cooling.

An IC-TROSA point-to-multipoint optical network system includes a point-to-multipoint optical network that is coupled to subscriber devices, and that is coupled to a hub device via a hub IC-TROSA device included in a hub coherent optical transceiver device coupled to the hub device. The hub IC-TROSA device includes a quadrature optical modulator subsystem, and an optical directional coupler device in the quadrature optical modulator subsystem provides a first transmit connection and a second transmit connection to the point-to-multipoint optical network. The optical directional coupler device receives first optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits them via the first transmit connection to a first subset of the subscriber devices via the point-to-multipoint optical network, and receives second optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits them via the second transmit connection to a second subset of the subscriber devices via the point-to-multipoint optical network.

Systems and methods for liquid immersion cooling of transceivers

An IC-TROSA point-to-multipoint optical network system includes a point-to-multipoint optical network coupled to a hub device configured to transmit first and second optical signals via respective first and second transmit ports. A subscriber coherent optical transceiver device on a subscriber device is coupled to the point-to-multipoint optical network, and includes a subscriber signal processing subsystem that receives optical signals from the hub device, and determines whether the subscriber coherent optical transceiver device is configured to receive the optical signals via the first or second transmit port on the hub device. If configured to receive the optical signals via the first transmit port, the subscriber signal processing subsystem performs first signal processing operations to decode the optical signals. If configured to receive the optical signals via the second transmit port, the subscriber signal processing subsystem performs second signal processing operations to decode the optical signals.

A cable assembly may include a first end and a second end. The first end may include a first breakout including a plurality of transmissive conduits implementing a plurality of communications channels and a second breakout including a plurality of conduits implementing a plurality of communications channels. The second end may include a third breakout including a plurality of conduits implementing a plurality of communications channels and a fourth breakout including a plurality of conduits implementing a plurality of communications channels. Communication channels of the first breakout, second breakout, third breakout, and fourth breakout may be arranged such that the first breakout shares a first communications channel with the third breakout, the first breakout shares a second communications channel with the fourth breakout, the second breakout shares a third communications channel with the third breakout, and the second breakout shares a fourth communications channel with the fourth breakout.

A port protection device includes a blocking element movement subsystem that may be coupled to a port that defines a port entrance, and a port entrance blocking element connected to the blocking element movement subsystem and defining airflow aperture(s). When the blocking element movement subsystem is coupled to the port, the blocking element movement subsystem allows the port entrance blocking element to be positioned in a port protection orientation immediately adjacent the port entrance such that airflow is restricted to entering the port via the airflow aperture(s). When the blocking element movement subsystem is coupled to the port, the blocking element movement subsystem also allows the port entrance blocking element to move from the port protection orientation to a cable connector orientation in response to engagement with a cable connector so that the cable connector may move through the port entrance to connect to the port.
