An oxygen concentrator includes a wobble plate compressor having one or more double-headed pistons and cylinders. A wobble plate of the compressor does not spin as an axle rotates, but orbitally tilts relative to the axle, thereby causing the double-headed pistons to move within the respective cylinders.

The present invention provides, in at least one embodiment, a system and method for real time evaluation of ultrasound video images taken at a first local location and evaluated at a second remote location. The system transmits a continuous live video feed from a veterinary ultrasound at the first location to a viewer at the remote location for real time study, review, and collaboration. In the method, the ultrasound video images are converted from analog ultrasound video to digital ultrasound video, where the digital ultrasound video is processed into multiple streams and transmitted across multiple broadband channels, each channel carrying a different stream. The multiple streams are aggregated into a reconstituted video and displayed for evaluation at the remote location.

Rotary systems are described, which can include at least one of compressors and vacuum pumps. Each rotary system includes a corresponding piston that rotates in an orbital motion around a respective eccentric of a shaft in order to either compress fluid or function as a vacuum pump. Multiple rotary systems can be executed on parallel on a single shaft such that these rotary systems are powered by a single motor. Various components of the rotary systems are coated with an abradable coating, which minimizes friction when these components come in contact with each other. The minimized friction minimizes the wear and tear of these components. Each rotary system can be lubricated by only the fluid being processed (for example, compressed or vacuumed) by that rotary system. The use of the fluid being processed for lubrication and the abradable coatings eliminate a need for another lubricant for lubricating the rotary system.

The exhalation valve assembly includes a valve module, removable for cleaning or disposal, a filter module, a flow meter and a condensate trap. Additionally, a filter/trap module that introduces a filter and a condensate trap into the exhalation flow path is described.

An exhalation valve assembly that controls the pressure of exhaled gas in a ventilation system is described. The exhalation valve assembly includes an actuator module that may be fixed to the ventilation system and a valve module, removable for cleaning or disposal, through which the exhaled gas flows and that controls the pressure and release of the exhaled gas to the environment. Other components may also be incorporated into the assembly including a filter module, a flow meter and a condensate trap.
