The system of the present invention is for treating surfaces and airborne particles comprising. The system includes an exterior housing and an enclosed water storage tank mounted inside the exterior housing to store water. The system may also include a dry mist generator mounted on a water float to position the dry mist generator below a surface of the water stored in the enclosed water storage tank. The system may further include an air blower having an outlet connected to water storage tank above a predetermined water level. The system may still further include an oxygen tank having an outlet, and an ozone generator connected to the outlet of the oxygen tank. The system may also include a regulator and flow meter connected to the outlet of the oxygen tank and having an inlet conduit to the ozone generator to regulate a flow of oxygen into the ozone generator.

A multi-functional, space-saving, and economical furniture item, made of wood, that converts shape and function to provide storage, seating, a desk-top workspace, and a countertop-height workspace. The furniture item is a bench that provides seating and has a flap that can be 'actioned' (folded down) to provide a table for writing. The bench is integrally formed in a unitary structure that affords multimodal transformation and practicality for ease-of-use and desired functional range. By lifting the bench seat clockwise and lowering the backrest, the furniture item transforms into a countertop or a desktop workspace. Undoing the said steps transforms the countertop back to the bench.

A method and apparatus for providing intelligent paging services is disclosed. A server receives a paging request from a customer. The page request may be, for example, a telephone call initiated by the customer from a telephone. The server then determines the identity of the customer who initiated the page request and (if necessary) the condition which prompted the identified customer to initiate the page request. The identity and condition information is then used to identify a predetermined list of one or more parties who should be contacted on behalf of the customer and how they should be contacted. Examples of the contact methods the server may execute include making a telephone call to a designated number via a public switched telephone network (PSTN), sending a page to a designated pager via the PSTN, and/or sending an electronic mail (e-mail) message to an Internet protocol (IP) addressable device via an IP network.

Method and apparatus for providing intelligent emergency paging

A telephone network arranged to give a telephone call placed to a called party's personal telephone number a particular call treatment that is selected as a function of the particular one of a plurality of predefined areas in which the called party is determined to be located, each of the plurality of predefined areas having at least two telephone stations with different telephone numbers located therein. The location of the called party is determined from the location of a two-way pager associated with the called party as detected by a paging antenna, e.g., tower, of a conventional two- way paging system that was not necessarily installed for use in completing telephone calls. For each personal telephone number, a table is stored associating a call treatment with one or more of the areas. The particular call treatment associated with an area is applied to calls to the personal telephone number when he is within that area. The associations of particular call treatments with respective ones of the areas is under control of the called party. The particular call treatments may include: (a) routing of the call to a particular wired telephone located within the area; (b) routing the call to a particular wired telephone outside of the area, (c) routing the call to a particular wireless telephone, (d) routing the call to a sequence of wired and/or wireless telephones within or outside of the area until the call is answered, and (e) routing the call to an automated answering platform. A default treatment may also be stored for handling calls that are placed to the called party when the called party is not within any area for which a call treatment is associated.

Call redirection system

Unique, voicemail pages are used to improve communication systems which combine both voicemail and paging devices. A &ldquo;deletion&rdquo;, voicemail page is used to automatically delete previously sent voicemail pages in a pager at virtually the same time as a corresponding voicemail message is being deleted in a voicemail system. Other unique voicemail pages make it possible to restrict the notification of a received voicemail page and provide the capability of listening to voicemail messages while viewing a separately sent, corresponding page on a pager.

Methods and devices for deleting voicemails using a deletion page

A communications system is designed to prevent premature termination of the sequencing process for sequencing calls by a) disabling voice mail features for all calls in the sequence, except for the last call in such sequence and b) insuring that the sequencing subscriber is available to personally answer the sequencing call at each telephone number in the sequence to which such sequencing call is completed.

Advanced call sequencing service

A technique for bridging the gap between an initial call and a return call by using network capabilities to capture the caller's information and by providing efficacious means for reaching the caller at a later time. The subscribed user, i.e., the called party, is provided with an opportunity to access a self-generating return call list which stores the names and the telephone numbers of the callers who could not speak to the subscribed user e.g., the subscribed user was not available to answer within a predetermined number of rings or was busy with another call. In addition, the system may be configured to create entries in the return call list for all incoming calls to the subscribed user, irrespective of whether the incoming calls were answered or not. The subscribed user may at any time access the return call list, either from his own telephone or some other DTMF telephone set.

Self-generating return call service

A communications system is designed to allow an end-user device that is coupled to a telephone set to receive activation codes that are transmitted thereto by a switch of such communications system when the telephone set is in an on-hook position. The communications system may initiate the transmission of the activation codes to the end-user device. Alternatively, the end-user device may poll the communications system to receive the activation codes therefrom. The end-user device may invoke a communications service in real time by transmitting to the communications system activation codes stored in its memory via an SVD channel modem while another SVD channel is being used for another communication service.

Method and system for transmitting activation codes to a communication device

A technique for monitoring the calls placed to the telephone number associated with the party under surveillance. When a call to the telephone number associated with party under surveillance is placed, the call is routed via an assigned meet-me bridge, and a third party is provided with the unique telephone number of the meet-me bridge via a pager. When the third party places a call to the assigned meet-me bridge, the incoming call to the party under surveillance and the call by the third party are bridged. Thereon, the third party is placed on mute and the third party may silently listen to the conversation between the caller and the called party. When a call (i.e., a page) to a telephone number associated with a pager of the party under surveillance is received, a third party is alerted. Also, in response to the page, when the party under surveillance uses a specific calling card to place a return call, the return call is routed via a meet-me bridge having a unique number, and the third party is provided with this unique number. When the third party places a call to this unique number, that call is routed to the assigned meet-me bridge, and the return call and the call by the third party are bridged. Thereon, the third party is placed on mute and the third party may listen to the return call conversation.

Dual-alerting paging system and monitoring of return call

A system and method of using two-way paging to establish communications with a mobile party having a Personal Telephone Number. The mobile party uses the two-way pager to transmit call control parameters which are used by the telephone network to route calls directed to the party's PTN. The mobile party may also use the pager to transmit subsequent routing parameters which are used by the network to reroute calls which have been previously routed. The subsequent routing of a call may be performed at any time following a previous routing, even after the call has received answer supervision.

Communication system and method using two-way paging to provide call control

A method and system for reducing background noise during a telephone call. When a caller begins dialing a telephone number, the system receives an ambient noise level measured near the caller's telephone. The system then computes an inverse noise waveform, which corresponds to the received ambient noise level. The inverse noise waveform is then transmitted along the same telephone line used by the completed call. The inverse noise waveform reduces the ambient background noise from the caller's location for the duration of the telephone call.

Method and apparatus for noise cancellation

The present invention provides a centralized messaging service method and apparatus in which a message is sent to each of a subscriber's messaging services. When a sending party wishes to leave a message for a receiving party, the sending party activates his/her user device and enters the access number for the centralized message service. The centralized message service receives the communication signals from the sending party which include a receiving party identifier and the message to be sent. The centralized message service then retrieves profile information from a database corresponding to the messaging services of the receiving party based on the receiving party identifier entered by the sending party. The centralized message service then forwards the message to a portion of the receiving party's messaging services based on the profile information retrieved from the database. The centralized message service then monitors the messaging services to determine if the receiving party has retrieved the message from any of the messaging services. If the receiving party retrieves the message from any of the messaging services, a delete command is sent to at least a portion of the other messaging services based on the profile information retrieved.

Centralized message service apparatus and method

Apparatus for linking multiple baseband telephone lines to provide broadband communication. The apparatus includes a broadband port, a plurality of baseband ports, and a controller. The broadband port provides connection to a broadband device or broadband communication line. The baseband ports provide connection to baseband communication lines. The controller integrates baseband data streams accepted at the baseband ports into a broadband data stream for transmission at the broadband port, and/or demultiplexes a broadband data stream received at the broadband port into baseband streams for transmission at the baseband ports. The baseband data include message data corresponding to the message data of the broadband stream, and control data describing an interrelationship among the message data, for controlling integrating of the baseband message data. The invention allows an individual to use multiple plain old telephone service (POTS) lines in combination to emulate the capability of a broadband line.

Coupling multiple low data rate lines to effect high data rate communication

An intelligent call forwarding system for routing incoming calls to at least one of a plurality of alternate communication devices when a called party cellular communication device installed in a vehicle is unavailable to directly receive the call. The system includes a plurality of cell sites disposed at predetermined geographical locations for providing cellular communication service to the called party cellular communication device. An active cell site that provides cellular communication service to the called party cellular communication device is stored in a memory device. Each cell site is related to at least one alternate communication device that is nearest in geographical location thereto. When an incoming call is received and the cellular communication device is &ldquo;unavailable&rdquo;, a cellular central office selects an alternate communication device that is mapped to the most recent active cell site stored in the memory device, and the incoming call is forwarded to the selected alternate communication device via a network. In a preferred embodiment the memory device stores a history of most recent active cell sites and determines the direction of travel of the vehicle therefrom. The system can automatically and intelligently predict which alternate communication device to forward the incoming call to based on the direction of travel and the most recent active cell site.
