A fuel pipe assembly is disclosed including a connector having a socket and a lug arrangement extending from the socket, a pipe having a first end portion adapted to fit within the socket, and a retainer having first and second parts which together form a collar configured to retain a pipe. The retainer has an open condition in which a pipe is insertable, and a closed condition. The retainer also has a channel arranged, in the closed condition, to capture the lug arrangement.

Fuel pipe assembly

A fuel system for an aircraft including a fuel tank for storing fuel during operation of the aircraft and a diffuser disposed inside the fuel tank. The diffuser is configured such that it forms part of a flow path configured to connect a fuel source to the inside of the fuel tank. The diffuser includes a wall which at least partially defines an internal space of the diffuser; an opening in the wall, which provides access to the internal space; and a blocking component configured to block the opening.

A support member configured to support a first structure within an aperture of a second structure is disclosed. The support member comprises a bracket for attaching the support member to the second structure; and a funnel part. The diameter of the base of the funnel is less than or equal to the diameter of the aperture, and is substantially equal to the diameter of a part of the first structure to be supported by the support member.

When coupling tubular parts by fitting, the seal interposed between them may roll on itself, be pinched or damaged. Now, a twisted or damaged seal no longer correctly ensures the seal-tightness and it is very difficult to detect this. The present application discloses a tool for installing a seal between two tubular parts, one male and one female, including a compression ring to encircle the male part and exert a compression on the seal before producing the join. The tool also includes a tongue that can be positioned at a chamfered surface of the female tubular part. The tongue makes it possible to offer the pre-compressed seal with the dimensions of the female part a continuous travel making it possible to prevent any twisting or other effect compromising the seal-tightness.

A connector for connecting a pipe, such as a fuel pipe, to another fuel pipe or pipe terminal, having a first connector element including a first female sub-element and a concentric second female sub-element, a first seal seat positioned within the first female sub-element, a second seal seat positioned in the concentric second female sub-element, a first seal retained within the first seal seat, a second seal retained the second seal seat, and a second connector element providing a connection for a pipe at one end and connection to the first connector element at a second end.

An airframe structural element, such as an aircraft rib, is disclosed that comprises an integral pipe connector element for connecting pipes through the structural element. The pipe connection means provided by the pipe connector element may be aligned on a common axis with a pipe connection means provided by an adjacent airframe structural element.

A pipe connector is disclosed, comprising two connector elements, arranged for interconnection of two pipes, wherein one or both of the connector elements is formed from electrically resistive material so as to provide electrical resistance between the connected pipes.

A coupling for fuel pipe includes a pipe end fitting, which includes a male outer surface including a groove and a female inner surface including a groove. The coupling includes a double-walled socket including a female outer socket and a male inner shaft. The pipe end fitting is accommodated in the region between the female outer socket and the male inner shaft. A first seal ring seals between the female inner surface and the male inner shaft. A second seal ring, which may be substantially coplanar with the first, seals between the male outer surface and the female outer socket of the double-walled socket. The coupling may be so arranged that the pipe end fitting and the double-walled socket are able to pivot relative to each other by up to at least &#xb1;2 degrees and are able to slide both towards and apart from each other.
