Disclosed is a fibrous web which includes a microencapsulated material, such as a microencapsulated phase change material, adhered to the web. Preferably, the web is prepared in a melt-blowing or spun-bonding process. In the melt-blowing process, cooling water containing the microcapsules is used to cool melt blown fibers prior to collection on a collector. In the spun-bonding process, microcapsules are applied in liquid suspension or in dry form to a heated web, for instance, after the web has been calendared. The fibrous webs thus prepared have numerous uses, and are particularly suited to the manufacture of clothing.

Process for preparing a non-woven fibrous web

Printable packaging paper for flexible packaging. A flexible overall print coating makes a first surface suitable for conventional printing. The print coating comprises clay, binder comprising acrylic and optionally PVOH, and microsphere shells, some optionally deformed. A barrier coating comprising PVOH, optionally acrylic, can be on the second surface. A multiple layer packaging structure can comprise such coated substrate and second and third strength layers of paper, and a flexible polyolefin barrier layer, all on the barrier coating side of the substrate, joined to the barrier coating. The flexible print coating can include titanium dioxide. The invention includes methods of making printing paper by applying first and second overlying acrylic or PVOH barrier coatings, calendaring the coated substrate in line, applying a flexible neutral-color print coating onto the first surface, including clay, binder comprising acrylic polymer, and polymeric microsphere shells, and calendaring the substrate a second time.

A carbonless copy assembly made up of at least one CB sheet and one CF sheet, the CF sheet having a color developer resin coating of less than 0.39 pounds per ream. A process for making the carbonless copy paper assembly comprising the steps of: spraying a composition containing resin capable of developing microencapsulated dyes onto a base sheet to form a CF sheet, and combining that CF sheet with a CB sheet to form the carbonless copy paper assembly.
