A door system is provided. The door system includes: a corridor sized to allow humans to move through the corridor, the corridor defined, at least in part by side walls, the corridor having a first end and a second end; a first door located at the first end, the first door configured to provide selective access between the corridor and a space outside of the corridor; a second door located at the second end, the second door configured to provide selective access between the corridor and a space outside of the corridor; and sensors configured to determine a direction of movement within the corridor, the sensors operatively connected to at least one of the first and second doors to cause at least one of the first and second doors to move to a closed position if any of the sensors detect a movement further than a threshold amount in an undesired direction.

Secure exit lane door

Disclosed herein is a sliding door system including a motor, a driveshaft coupled to the motor, and a coupling mechanism fastened to the sliding door. The coupling mechanism is configured to convert rotation of the driveshaft into linear motion of the sliding door, such that movement of the coupling mechanism is directly correlated to movement of the sliding door. The sliding door system also includes a rotary encoder, a belt mechanically coupled to the coupling mechanism. The belt, as moved by the coupling mechanism, is configured to turn the rotary encoder as the sliding door moves, such that movement of the rotary encoder is directly correlated to movement of the sliding door and not directly correlated to movement of the motor and driveshaft.

Sliding barrier tracking system

A revolving door assembly in which the individual door wings are releasably secured to a central support member, such that the door wings are retained in respective operative positions in which the wings extend substantially radially from the central hub in diametrically opposed pairs. The door wings are releasable from their operative positions in response to the exertion of a predetermined force thereon to allow one or more of the door wings to be rotated about their respective pivot axes to a folded position. The support member has a plurality of arm members projecting substantially radially therefrom. Each door wing is attached to a corresponding arm member by means of a ball and catch mechanism at a distal position relative to the support member. The ball is disengaged from the catch to allow the door wing to swing free of the arm member when a predetermined force is exerted thereon. An elongated bar is positioned between an inner portion of each door wing and the support member for maintaining each door wing substantially in vertical alignment when the door wing is rotated about its pivot axis. Each door wing is pivotally mounted for rotation about first and second pivot axes, which are spaced apart sufficiently to allow the door wings to be substantially completely 'bookfolded'.

Obstruction detector apparatus operatively coupled to an automatic electric door operator compares the time span of transmission and receipt of reflected echoes of ultrasonic energy within a door passageway obstruction zone with predetermined time spans in order to prevent door closure under conditions indicating passageway obstruction or system malfunction. Signal generators provide timing signals respectively representative of the anticipated time span of reflected echoes from locations in front of, and beyond, the door jamb opposite the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver transducers for comparison by a relay controller with the time of generation of a signal representing a reflected echo at the transducer receiver, the relay controller appropriately actuating a door operator relay in response to such comparison. Various network portions provide pulse generation to the transmitter, an initial blanking period during which reflected echoes are disregarded, and programmed gain control for electronically shaping an obstruction detection zone to a proximate area of specific interest.
