An electrical connector assembly having a printed circuit board, signal wires, and an impedance mold. The signal wires transmit signals at a determined signal speed. The signal wires have ends which are connected to the printed circuit board. The impedance mold cooperates with the printed circuit and the signal wires. The impedance mold is formed from a tunable hot melt adhesive composition. A dielectric constant of the tunable hot melt adhesive composition is lowered to be compatible with the desired signal performance characteristics of the signals transmitted over the signal wires to the printed circuit board.

An electrical connector assembly having a printed circuit board, signal wires, and an impedance mold. The signal wires transmit signals at a determined signal speed. The signal wires have ends which are connected to the printed circuit board. The impedance mold cooperates with the printed circuit and the signal wires. A terminal assembly includes a cable that includes a conductor which has at least one wire. The conductor has an outer surface. The terminal assembly includes a terminal having a main body extending between a front and a rear of the terminal. The terminal includes a wire support supporting the at least one wire of the conductor at a mating interface. The at least one wire is welded to the wire support to fix the at least one wire to the main body of the terminal. The outer surface of the conductor is exposed at the mating interface for direct mating to a mating component.

The housing includes a mating shroud protruding forward from a front wall of the housing and defining a port that receives a mating circuit card therein. Each of the electrical conductors includes a mating contact disposed within the mating shroud and a mounting contact that projects beyond a bottom end of the housing to electrically connect to a circuit board. The mounting contacts are located within a termination area of the electrical connector.

An electrical connector assembly which has a housing formed of a first photocurable polymer composition. Signal contacts are positioned in the housing for transmitting signals at a determined signal speed. A dielectric constant of the photocurable polymer composition is tuned to have a higher or lower dielectric constant to be compatible with the desired signal performance characteristics of the signals transmitted over the signal contacts in the housing.

The dual layer pin body has a base metal core and an outer metal oxide layer combined with the base metal core defining an outermost layer of the dual layer pin body. A power connector includes first and second power terminals having first and second contact stacks and first and second plates for termination to corresponding power element. The contact stacks have contacts separate and discrete from each other and from the plate. Each contact has a base and a mating beam. The bases are aligned and mechanically and electrically coupled to the plate. A housing has an end wall and a fastener that mechanically and electrically couples the bases to the plate. The power terminals are arranged such that the first and second mating beams oppose each other across a mating slot that receives a bus bar with the first mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a first bus rail at a first side of the bus bar and the second mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a second bus rail at a second side of the bus bar.

The power card edge connector includes a housing mounted to a first circuit board and having a card slot with power contacts surface mounted to the first circuit board. The bladed power connector includes a dielectric frame extending between a first end configured to face a second circuit board and a second end received in the card slot. The bladed power connector includes a first blade at a first side of the dielectric frame and a second blade at a second side of the dielectric frame. The blades include mating edges and a terminating ends opposite the mating edges. The terminating ends includes press-fit pins configured to be press-fit into the second circuit board.

A power socket includes a power socket body extending between a first end and a second end and having a tube being tubular shaped along at least a portion of the power socket body. The power socket includes a power pin termination at the first end and a cable termination at the second end. The power pin termination includes a socket configured to receive a mating end of a power pin and a spring band contact received in the socket having a plurality of mating interfaces. A first edge of the power socket body is rolled inward to form a retaining lip to retain the spring band contact in the socket. The cable termination includes a deformation terminated to an end of a cable conductor of a cable to electrically connect the power socket to the cable. The deformation transforms the tube from a tubular to a deformed shape.

An electrical connector includes a housing and a plurality of electrical conductors held within the housing. The housing includes a mating shroud protruding forward from a front wall of the housing and defining a port that receives a mating circuit card therein. Each of the electrical conductors includes a mating contact disposed within the mating shroud and a mounting contact that projects beyond a bottom end of the housing to electrically connect to a circuit board. The mounting contacts are located within a termination area of the electrical connector. The housing defines a nesting cavity extending rearward from the front wall along the bottom end. The nesting cavity is disposed between the mating shroud and the termination area along a longitudinal axis of the electrical connector. The nesting cavity is configured to accommodate a discrete, second connector that is mounted to the circuit board.

A power connector includes a housing having a mating slot at a front having terminal channels holding power terminals between the slot and the corresponding side of the housing. Each power terminal includes a plate extending from the slot through a rear of the housing to an exterior of the housing for termination to a corresponding power element. The power terminal has a contact array of contacts discrete from and coupled to the plate. Each contact has a plate interface electrically coupled to the plate and a bus bar interface configured to be electrically coupled to a corresponding rail of the bus bar. The contacts are arranged along a corresponding side of the slot for interfacing with the bus bar.

An electrical connector includes a housing and a plurality of conductors held within the housing. The conductors are configured to electrically connect to mating conductors of a mating connector. The conductors each extend a length between a mating end and a mounting end of the respective conductor. One or more of the conductors include a copper alloy core, a copper plating layer, and a protective outer layer. The copper plating layer surrounds the copper alloy core, and is composed of a different material than the copper alloy core. The protective outer layer is disposed on and surrounds the copper plating layer. The protective outer layer is composed of a non-conductive polymeric material.
