A storage lock for a storage door, the lock comprising a lock housing for mounting to the storage door or a storage frame supporting the door; and a lock mechanism arranged within the lock housing, the lock mechanism comprising a latch selectively operable between a locked position in which the latch is extended to engage with the other of the storage door and storage frame to block against opening of the storage door, and an unlocked position in which the latch is retracted to disengage from the other of the storage door and storage frame to allow the storage door to be opened for access to storage, and a latch control system selectively operable between a restricted position to block against operation of the latch out from the locked position, and an unrestricted position to permit operation of the latch out from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Controllable door lock

A protective cover for a portable electronic device includes a support with a support element that includes a slot bounded by a forward surface and an opposed rear surface. The forward surface and the opposed rear surface are planar surfaces oriented parallel to one another and spaced apart a distance that enables the slot to receive peripheral edges of any of a plurality of differently configured devices from different manufacturers and having different capabilities. The forward surface and the opposed rear surface are located a single fixed distance apart from one another, enabling the slot to self-support the plurality of differently configured devices from different manufacturers and having different capabilities. The protective cover may include a keyboard.

Protective cover for portable electronic device and associated systems and methods

An accessory for an electronic device, such as a mobile computing device, includes a housing and a support element that are configured to support the electronic device in an inclined orientation. The support element of the accessory may comprise an elongated recess that receives a portion (e.g., an edge portion) of an electronic device to orient and support the electronic device in the inclined orientation. The accessory may also include a peripheral component, such as a user interface component (e.g., a keyboard, a track pad, etc.) or any other component that may enhance or supplement functionality of the electronic device.

Accessory and support for electronic devices, systems including the same and methods

An electronic lock includes a lock body and a shackle selectively securable via one or more ball bearings. An asymmetric cam can be rotated by a key or an electric motor to: a locked state in which the ball bearing secures the shackle within the lock body via at least one lock notch in the shackle, an unlocked state in which the ball bearing is released from the lock notch to unlock the shackle and subsequently engages a revolved notch on a distal end of the shackle to prevent removal of the shackle from the lock body, and a removal state in which the ball bearing is released from the lock notch and the revolved notch to allow the shackle to be removed from the lock body. A shackle detector can detect a shackle in the locked state. Externally accessible electrical contacts allow for jumpstarting a discharged battery.

Electronic lock and interchangeable shackles

A protective cover is provided to protect a portable electronic device, including a display surface that includes a display screen. The protective cover may include a computing accessory such as a keyboard. One or more magnets in the protective cover may be configured to align with magnets located in the portable electronic device. Upon placing the protective cover over the display surface, an attraction force between magnets can secure the protective cover, including the computing accessory, over the display surface. The magnets may be located proximate edges of the protective cover a portable electronic device, and the attraction force may be the primary or only mechanism for securing the protective cover in place. Optionally, the attractive forces pass through the display surface without also passing through a side or peripheral surface of the portable electronic device.

This disclosure provides systems and methods for lockout-tagout procedures and systems supporting the same, including, without limitation, lockout devices that can store and maintain digital locks simultaneously by multiple keyholders. In various embodiments, a single user can add multiple keyholders to a digital lock. The user may not be able to remove anyone as a keyholder except herself. Thus, the digital lock may remain in a locked state until each of the added keyholders applies their digital key, password, pin, and/or other personal identifying information to unlock the digital by removing themselves as a keyholder.

Systems and methods for multi-keyholder digital lockout

This disclosure provides systems and methods for lockout-tagout procedures and systems supporting the same, including, without limitation, locking devices that can store and be locked simultaneously by multiple keyholders. In various embodiments, a single user can add multiple keyholders to a locking device. The user may not be able to remove anyone as a keyholder except himself or herself. Thus, the locking device may remain in a locked state until each of the added keyholders applies their digital key, password, PIN, and/or other personal identifying information to unlock the locking device by removing themselves as a keyholder.

Lockout management systems and methods with multi-keyholder electronic locking devices

In various embodiments, an electronic lock includes a locking mechanism to selectively transition between locked and unlocked states. A controller and capacitive touch sensor to detect and distinguish between short touch inputs having a touch duration less than a time threshold and long touch inputs having a touch duration greater than a time threshold. If the detected series or pattern of short and long touch interactions matches a stored series of touch interactions defining an unlock code, the locking mechanism transitions from the locked state to the unlocked state.

Electronic locks with duration-based touch sensor unlock codes

An electronic locking device can be configured to become active from a low power state, receive physical input to unlock, and provide access to a replaceable power supply. An electronic locking device can use a combination of physical input and discovery of an authorized mobile device to enable transition from a locked state to an unlocked state. Authorization can be internally stored or externally obtained through a service. An electronic locking device can match a series of physical interactions to a series of stored interactions to enable transition from a locked state to an unlocked state, when an authorized device is unavailable. An electronic locking device can provide access to a replaceable power supply when a latch is released.

Wireless locking device

Disclosed are electronic padlocks and related methods. An electronic padlock includes a lock body, a shank, and a locking mechanism operably coupled to electronic circuitry configured to detect physical interactions of a user with the shank and control the locking mechanism. A method of operating the electronic padlock includes detecting physical interactions of a user with a shank of an electronic padlock, comparing the detected physical interactions with a stored predetermined series of physical interactions, and transitioning from a locked state to an unlocked state responsive to determining that the detected physical interactions match the predetermined series of physical interactions. A method of transforming a mobile device into a device configured to interface with an electronic padlock includes distributing computer-readable instructions configured to instruct one or more processors of the mobile device to display a graphical user interface configured to enable a user to alter settings of the electronic padlock.

Electronic padlocks and related methods

A wireless, electronic interchangeable locking core that includes an outer housing and a locking core that is rotatable via an external handle between a locked position and an unlocked position. The handle is prevented from rotating the locking core unless wirelessly-provided authorization credentials are validated and/or a pattern of physical input interactions with an electronic sensor is matched with a stored pattern. The pattern may be defined, for example, as a sequence of short and long interactions with a button, light sensor, touch panel, or the like. The electronic interchangeable locking core may include a battery and be configured for installation in small format interchangeable core (SFIC) housings.
