A method and apparatus for optimizing melting of titanium for processing into ingots or end products. The apparatus provides a main hearth, a plurality of optional refining hearths, and a plurality of casting molds or direct molds whereby direct arc electrodes melt the titanium in the main hearth while plasma torches melt the titanium in the refining chambers and/or adjacent the molds. Each of the direct arc electrodes and plasma torches is extendable and retractable into the melting environment and moveable in a circular pivoting or side to side linear motion.

A method and apparatus for alternating pouring into molds, casts or refining hearths from a common hearth in a furnace. The apparatus provides a main hearth, a plurality of optional refining hearths, and a plurality of casting molds or direct molds whereby the refining hearths and molds define at least two separate ingot making lines. The main hearth alternatively pours into a first ingot making line while the other line is prepared, and vice versa allowing for continuous melting.

Method and apparatus for alternating pouring from common hearth in plasma furnace

A casting furnace for use in melting and molding metals. The furnace has a mold insertion and withdrawal system attached thereto and incorporates an offset mold elevator for moving a mold up and down from a mold chamber to a furnace chamber while eliminating the need for a pit. The furnace further includes a readily removable chill plate on which the mold rides. An overhead material feed system is also provided.

A method and apparatus for optimized mixing in a common hearth in a plasma furnace. The apparatus provides a main hearth, a plurality of optional refining hearths, and a plurality of casting molds or direct molds whereby the refining hearths and molds define at least two separate ingot making lines. A feed chute provides raw material to the main hearth, whereby the feed chute is moveable to optimize its position during operation of the main hearth. Most particularly, the feed chute is moveable to provide better mixing, minimize skull build-up, and optimally place it opposite the overflow in use.

Method and apparatus for optimized mixing in a common hearth in plasma furnace

A chair with one or more easily removable pieces and a method for disassembling the same. The chair preferably includes a seat section, a back section, and a concealed back-releasing mechanism. The back-releasing mechanism includes a connecting bracket, attached to the seat section, wherein the connecting bracket includes a protruding portion, and a receiving bracket concealed in the back section and that includes a recessed portion that receives the protruding portion of the connecting bracket. The chair may also include a seat section, a back section connected to the seat section, a cushion, and a concealed cushion-releasing mechanism. The cushion-releasing mechanism preferably comprises at least one slot in the seat section, wherein the slot is defined by the seat section and extends through the seat section and at least one tongue, wherein the tongue protrudes from the cushion and extends through the slot.

A quick release extrusion bracket with a lock is provided. The quick release extrusion bracket secures a chair, stool, seat, etc. with a base plate at the end of a supporting post, leg, etc. to a floor. The quick release extrusion bracket enables the quick and easy release of the base plate from the bracket, thereby facilitating the simple and quick removal of the chair, stool, seat, etc. The lock enables the base plate to be locked to the bracket so that it may not be removed by a patron or other person without an appropriate tool or key.

An apparatus for dealing cards at a casino gaming table. The apparatus, or dealer shoe, has a base and a card roller. The base holds a deck or decks of cards while in use. The card roller is movably connected to the base and applies a downward pressure on the cards in the base so that they may be removed from the base. The card roller is moved into a resting place within the base when cards are removed to be shuffled, facilitating removal and insertion of the cards. By resting in the base, the card roller is protected from damage.

An apparatus and method for minimizing the amount of smoke to which a shielded person is exposed. The apparatus, or air rail, has a conduit and a fan. The conduit has an air outlet through which air is forced by the fan. In operation, the fan generates an air flow that enters the conduit and exits through the air outlet. The exited air flow is directed generally away from the shielded person and is interposed between the shielded person and the smoke. The exited air flow therefore creates a barrier which minimizes the amount of smoke to which the shielded person is exposed. By minimizing the amount of smoke to which the shielded person is exposed, the apparatus and method creates a better environment for the shielded person.

Apparatus and method for use of an air rail

A device for dropping tokens into a drop box. The device may be used on a gaming table over a drop box. The device has a base, which is mounted on a surface, and a door, which is movably connected to the base. The door swings open to allow tokens, coins, chips, etc., to drop through the base into a drop box below. The door also allows the tokens, coins, chips, etc, to rest so that they may seen before being dropped into the drop box. This device is particularly useful on poker tables, where the casino takes a cut of the winnings.
