Balanced plug assemblies and pressure regulators having balanced plug assemblies are described herein. A pressure regulator disclosed herein includes a device body defining a fluid passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The device body defines a channel between the fluid passageway and a pressure sense chamber. The pressure regulator includes a seat in the fluid passageway, a stem having a flange, and a plug coupled to the stem. The pressure regulator also includes a stem guide disposed in the channel of the device body. The flange of the stem disposed in a balance chamber of the stem guide and divides the balance chamber into a first balance chamber portion and a second balance chamber portion. The stem guide at least partially forms a balance passage that fluidly couples the pressure sense chamber and the second balance chamber portion.

An example apparatus comprises a plurality of cage sections collectively configured to be removably coupled together to form a valve cage having a circumference and a plurality of joints. The joints correspond in number to the cage sections and are spaced apart from one another about the circumference. A busway joint pack includes a first connector plate and a second connector plate that is spaced from the first connector plate such that the connector plates are configured to engage a pair of phase-conductors of a pair of busway sections. The busway joint pack further includes a first insulator assembly and a second insulator assembly. Each of the insulator assemblies includes a heat sink and two electrically insulating sheets on either major side surface of the heat sinks. The insulator assemblies are positioned adjacent to the connector plates such that the insulating sheets electrically insulate the heat sinks from the connector plates. Side panels are positioned adjacent to the heat sinks and abut end surfaces thereof to aid in transferring heat generated in the busway joint pack to the surrounding environment via the heat sinks and side panels.

Electrical busway assemblies and methods and devices for applying compressive forces to a busbar stack in an electrical busway assembly are disclosed herein. Electrical busway assemblies for distributing electricity are presented. The busway assembly includes a stack of electrically conductive busbars with one or more duct sides each disposed on a respective side of the busbar stack. Optionally, a duct top and duct bottom can be placed on the stack top and stack bottom, respectively. A surge clamp engages the stack top or stack bottom. A bolt attaches the surge clamp to each duct side. A compression nut threadably engages each bolt. Rotation of a bolt moves the corresponding compression nut, which acts to move the surge clamp along a path that is oblique with the path of the compression nut. The surge clamp, when moved by the compression nut(s), acts to apply a compressive force to the busbar stack.

A bus assembly and bus assembly connector include one or more insulated members that have axial sleeves that fit within one another during assembly to form a nesting arrangement. The nesting arrangement of the axial sleeves allow reduction of the overall size of the bus assembly connector while satisfying power rating standards and dielectric clearances as well as allowing bolting of the bus assembly to thereby clamp and secure the bus assembly. The axial sleeves can be distinctively designed such that the phase members must be assembled in a predetermined order, with no components being omitted, to form the bus assembly connector or clamp the bus assembly.
