A tire pressure control system includes means for restoring and maintaining specified tire pressure by applying intermittent regulated air pressure to the tire through a rotating seal near the wheel when the air pressure is too low. If the air pressure in the tire is at a predetermined safe operating level, the air pressure through the rotating seal is blocked.

Tire pressurization control system

A fastener for retaining two adjacent edges of a pair of panels against the surface of a structure includes a head with an eccentrically disposed stem extending therefrom. A flange section around the stem is spaced from the head. Projecting sections extend from the stem below the flange. The projecting sections extend through an opening in the surface of the structure and retains the fastener therein.

A wheel anti-lock system includes switching means located outside of a vehicle wheel with means passing from the switching means through or across the wheel to a source of control pressure inboard of the wheel which controls the application of service pressure to the brake of the wheel.

Anti-lock system

A power actuating mechanism uses a mechanical spring to normally urge a pin through openings in a track and rail of a trailer and bogie, respectively, to lock the trailer to the bogie. Structure is provided to selectively apply air pressure to an actuator to overcome the bias of the mechanical spring and move the pin out of the opening in the track of the trailer to unlock the bogie from the trailer for repositioning or removal.

Pin retracting mechanism for a trailer

An anti-locking mechanism includes an assembly attached to move with a wheel of a vehicle. The assembly includes a spring biased inertia wheel movably mounted to a manifold. A valve connected to control the application of braking pressure is normally held closed when the inertia wheel and manifold are rotated at the same rate by the wheel. When the vehicle wheel is decelerated at an excessive rate, the inertia wheel overcomes the bias of the spring and continues to rotate about the manifold to open the valve and prevent braking pressure from being applied to the wheel.

Anti-locking mechanism

A 'bogie' is disposed to be slid within a pair of tracks on a trailer. A movable pin element is adapted to pass through openings in at least one of the rails and tracks to secure the bogie to the trailer. The pin element includes means for providing a chamber to permit air pressure to release the parking brakes for the wheels of the bogie only when the pin is in a position securing the bogie to the trailer. If the pin is not in position, the parking brakes in the bogie cannot be released.

Interlock system for a trailer and bogie

An anti-lock system comprises a source of pneumatic service pressure for controlling the application of pneumatic braking pressure to a wheel vehicle. A valve connected to and responsive to the speed of the wheel to shut off the service pressure when the vehicle wheel becomes locked thereby preventing braking pressure from being applied.
