A method of forming a pattern in a substrate material includes positioning a layer of a covalent organic framework polymer including nanoscale holes or pores therein over the substrate material as a template having nanoscale holes or pores therein to form a templated assembly and applying an etching process to the templated assembly.

A harness vest carries a lighting system for safety and utility. The vest includes holsters for light modules on front and back shoulder pads. The light modules may be removable or fixed LED strips attached to the front and back shoulder pads. Each lighting module is removable and is controlled by on/off buttons and front-mounted control panels for separate use as portable, personal, lighting devices. Modules are magnetic and may be removable from the harness best and attached to other surfaces for illuminating a work area. The user controls brightness, mode (such as strobe, strobe frequency), and color. The vest can be added to a reflector cover as part of a 5-point breakaway reflector vest.

A door cover system and method of use for a door having a front surface. The system includes a cover body; an embossing on the front surface of the cover body; a ledge protruding from the back surface of the cover body and configured to engage with a top surface of the door; and a fastener secured to the back surface of the cover body and configured to secure the cover body to the front surface of the door. The method includes removably securing the cover body to the front surface of the door; outlining cut patterns on the cover body; removing the cover body from the front surface of the door; cutting the cut patterns; and rigidly securing the cover body to the front surface of the door via a fastener.

A shoe has a sole with a toe, heel and arch. A two part heel has a low heel block attached to the sole heel and includes a slot therein. A high heel extension is attached to the low heel block through a support beam having a substantially rectangular cross-section capable of limited axial and pivotal movement. The fit between the beam and the slot prevents rotational movement of the high heel about its axis. The high heel extension can be pivoted between a first position where it underlies the low heel block and a second position where it lies beneath the sole arch. The bottom of the low heel block has a heel lift extending downwardly engaging the ground when the high heel is stowed. This low heel lift is enclosed by a beveled edge at the top of the high heel piece when it is vertical.

A curvilinear peristaltic pump for facilitating the pumping of a liquid through a length of resilient tubing. The pump comprises a housing having a platen member attached thereto and a rotatable cam disposed therewithin. Also disposed within the housing is a drive unit of the pump which is mechanically coupled to the cam such that the activation of the drive unit results in the concurrent rotation of the cam in a first direction and the deactivation of the drive unit maintains the cam in a set position. Movably attached to the housing are a plurality of pump fingers of the pump, each of which has a first end which is cooperatively engaged to the cam and a second end which is disposed in spaced relation to the platen member. The cam is configured to sequentially move the pump fingers radially outwardly toward and inwardly away from the platen member when rotated in the first direction by the drive unit. A portion of the tubing may be extended between the platen member and the second ends of the pump fingers such that the sequential movement of the pump fingers toward and away from the platen member results in liquid within the tubing being pumped in the first direction of rotation of the cam. The pump is used in conjunction with a disposable tubing assembly which is provided with a shut-off valve to selectively obstruct the flow of liquid through the tubing assembly.
