An improved double entry crimp terminal is disclosed. The subject terminal has a receptacle portion on each end thereof and a crimp barrel intermediate the ends so that the terminal can be crimp connected to a conductor and one receptacle used as the main mating portion with the oppositely directed receptacle providing the ability to probe the terminal when in a mounted and mated condition within an electrical connector system.

Double entry crimp terminal

A strain relief member is disclosed for selective and removable mounting in a connector housing. The strain relief member includes means to receive a bundle tie for securing conductors to the strain relief member. The connector housing includes an elongated, centrally disposed slot which receives the strain relief member therein.

Snap-in strain relief

An electrical connector system is disclosed having a pin header and housing assembly which can be latched and separated by the action of a single lever. The subject system includes a pin header mountable on a printed circuit board or the like to enclose an array of pin terminals fixedly mounted therein. The pin header also includes a standoff feature allowing wire wrap connection to the terminals. A connector member is receivable in the pin header and, by means of a lever actuated cam, is locked therein and extracted therefrom. The connector member also includes strain relief means for conductors connected to receptacle terminals carried thereby and the ability to individually probe the terminals without dismounting the connector member from the pin header.

Single lever back plane connector system

An improved strain relief device is disclosed incorporated to a cover of a multi-conductor flat flexible cable connector. The connector includes a plurality of insulation piercing contacts which engage in the respective conductors of the cable and latchingly secure the cover to the connector housing. The cover also provides a tortuous path for the cable thereby providing a strain relief function.

Two dielectric housings are mounted respectively to printed circuit boards. When the housings are mated together the two printed circuit boards will be connected electrically together with pins on the one board within receptacles of the other board. One of the housings is connected to an edge margin of the board and is provided with a chamfered lip which covers the edge of the board and provides a polarizing structure to permit interconnection between the two housings when oriented as desired.
