An isolating system and method for dampening vibrations between vibration-generating or vibration-sensitive equipment and a support structure. The isolating system includes first and second housing sections connected to one another via a vibration dampening assembly. The first housing section is secured to the support structure and includes a frame and first isolator assembly. The second housing section includes a second isolator assembly positioned between the frame and first isolator assembly. The vibration dampening assembly connects the first and second isolating assemblies to one another and prevents direct physical contact between them. One of a flange assembly and flange assembly of an attachment assembly is engaged with a connector region of the second isolator assembly and is used to secure the equipment to the second isolator assembly. The vibration dampening assembly reduces transmission of vibration between first and second isolator assemblies and thereby between the equipment and support structure.

System for installing vibration-generating equipment or vibration-sensitive equipment on a support structure

A vibration dampening device, a mounting assembly including a vibration dampening device, and a method of dampening vibration in a vibration-sensitive component using the same. The vibration dampening device includes a first member that rests upon or is operatively engaged with a support surface; a second member that is operatively engaged with the vibration-sensitive component; and at least one isolator assembly interposed between the first member and the second member, wherein the first member and the second member are decoupled from one another by the at least one isolator assembly. The at least one isolator assembly includes a first isolator that is at least partially embedded in the first member and a second isolator that is at least partially embedded in the second member, and an isolator insert that extends between the first isolator and second isolator. The isolator insert creates a gap between the first and second members.

Vibration dampening device, a system incorporating the device, and a method of using same

An isolating system for dampening vibrations to or from audio equipment includes a mounting bracket secured to a support surface and a lower isolator assembly engaged with the mounting bracket. An upper isolator assembly engages the audio equipment and is positioned above the lower isolator assembly. The upper and lower assemblies are engaged with one another via aligned pairs of resilient, vibration-dampening isolators and associated connector members. The connector members extend between the isolators and are long enough to prevent direct contact between the upper and lower isolators. The isolating system is configured to allow a user to pivot the audio equipment about a vertical axis to change the position of the equipment in a horizontal plane. The isolating system is further configured to allow the user to pivot the audio equipment about a horizontal axis to change the position of the equipment in a vertical plane.

Wall mounted isolating system for dampening vibration

An isolating assembly, a modular isolating system including the assembly and a method of using the same. The system includes a plurality of individual isolating assemblies, each isolating assembly being engageable with an article; and wherein each isolating assembly includes a lower isolator that rests upon a flat surface; an upper isolator that is engageable with the article; and a connector having first and second ends. The first end of the connector engages the lower isolator and the second end of the connector engages the upper isolator. The upper isolator is positioned above the lower isolator and is movable relative to the lower isolator when vibration from the article is transferred to the upper isolator. The connector may be a polarizing connector that restricts the movement of the upper isolator in a first direction but permits movement thereof in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction.

Speaker stand

A stand for supporting an article a spaced distance above a support surface and for damping vibration therebetween. The stand includes a support frame having resilient bushings engaged therewith. Each bushing defines a bore into which a first end of one of a plurality of rods is received. The rods extend downwardly from the bushings and abut the support surface. The bores are configured to permit the rods to move more in one horizontal direction than in another.

Vibration damping stand

A stand for a stereo speaker. The stand comprises a support and a plurality of isolating and polarizing assemblies that engage the support and allow movement of the speaker relative to the support in one direction more than in another direction and to isolate that movement relative to the floor surface upon which the support rests. Preferably, the stand also includes a shelf and a plurality of rods that engage the assemblies and connect the shelf to the support. A first assembly engages a first end of each rod with the shelf and a second assembly engages the second end of each rod with the support. The assemblies are configured to permit more movement of the rods in a first horizontal direction than in a second horizontal direction. Thus, the assemblies allow the shelf to move back and forth in the first horizontal direction in response to vibrations in the speaker and air movement adjacent the same. The stand also includes a mechanism for adjusting the inclination of the shelf relative to the support so as to allow sound emitted therefrom to be directed in a particular direction.
